so i picked up a 71 C10 and plan on putting my 383 LT1 in it. I'm also going to be using the 6M in the truck with 4.10 gears. ill get more pics of the truck tomorrow of how it sits right now. I'm also going to be using a lot of the major parts from my camaro like the rear end and suspension parts. pretty excited on the project and think i will love this project.

That thing is awesome. My friend has a 69 long bed getting slammed down and a LS. His grandfather bought it new.

thanks guys. ya i would have gone ls but i had my lt1 camaro sitting there and the body is pretty rough on it and needed some paint. so i happen to come across this truck. the truck right now has a 327 and turbo 350 but thats boring so in goes the 383 and 6speed.

I have the same feeling with my 99 right now. I haven't driven it since the beginning of May when I got my LT on the street. The body is shit but the engine, harness and trans (needs rebuild) are there for something cool.

Good looking truck. IMO, they look so much better with a factory grill, headlight buckets and trim.

oh i agree also. the truck is getting the factory grille surround but keeping the billet part. i hate the painted grille. also getting the side trim and two tone paint. putting some white on the truck when i do the trim. break up the yellow about.
