My Camaro wouldn't do any better than a 14.40 at 97 on a 2.2 short time.

I'm sure most of these will be similar in time unless some of you purchased a car that had already been modded.

That was the best I could get out of her, only mod at the time was a K&N CAI.

with street tires and never going down the track before I ran 13.5 but the car is good for somewhere in the 12s. The old owner showed me the time slip so I know it can do it with the right driver

The first time I brought it to the track, I had all the mods in my sig, and did aweful... I was doing 2.3X 60', trapping 101, and running a 14.1. It was aweful.. I had absolutely horrible tires on it at the time and it just wouldnt hook off the line.

My first LT1 was a flowmaster muffer only 93.....I put a CAI and WS6 wheels on it and in Sacramento summer heat went 13.99@99.99. Fast forward 8 months, no changes save for a 1/2 gutted cat, car went 13.632@102.32 at Atco.

My current 93 LT1 was bought with Hotcam/light ported heads, ect. Had a 94 M6 swap with the factory 3.23's. Previous owner went 12.74@105 with the A4/3K stall. With the M6 I went 12.988@107.98 on a 2.02 short time. Never went faster even though I geared, then 12 bolt/geared/slicks/upgraded from MAC to ASM headers and flowmaster to SLP LM cat-back, deleted the cat. Motor was tired.

I can't remember on the 94 (fast car) but I think it was like 14.0 @ 100 I remember it was very round numbers and consistent.

The 95 (slow car) the first pass at the track went 13.749 @ 100.78 (2.051 60ft).

bone stock i ran a 13.9@100 with a 2.01 60'. Slightly modded 13.2@103 with a 2.0 60'. after the LT's and Bigger TB/Ram Air and a good tune, 12.9 @105 with a 2.0 60'. i need to change my sig pic.. LOL

14.8 @96 or so on bald tires, K&N FIPK, 160* tstat, Magnaflow catback, Trick Flow ceramic intake elbow. It was also my first time at the track on a very hot day and I was never down the track before that. Managed to get 2nd in brackets that day at least.

Since, I put better street tires on and got 3.73s, Hooker LTs and a tune and I ran a 13.9 @ 102.x, again getting 2nd in brackets.

Once I get my 60' times down I think it'll effect my times significantly. And I'm looking into DR's for the next track rental, plus a cc503. 1s gain per year? Yes!

Took it to the body shop, LOL. My first pass was at the LTX Shootout and went 13.3 @ 114 w/ 2.5 60' ft. Laugh all you want on that 60 time. I hadn't been on a track in over 4 years. Best to date is 11.7 @ 118 w/ 1.6 60 ft. Shooting for 10's on the bottle.

my LT4 Vette was slightly modded when i first got it... had a hotcam, tune, and some free mods. I hadnt ran a RWD, V8, manual trans car at the strip since i sold my 40th anniversary Vette back in 04' so to say i was a bit out of practice was an understatement

first time out i ran a 13.0 at 114mph with a 2.3 60ft

after going down to the track a few more times and getting some practice i slashed that time down to a 12.2 at 116mph with a 1.9 60ft

When I 1st got my car it was a v6.. It ran a 16.9 and a 16.9 running on 5 cylinders and having some other issues.

With the Lt1 in it 1st time at the track its best was 13.1 @ 107. (not bad for close to stock)

I'd say it's safe to say you've made the biggest improvement in your times. :tt2:

14.4 @ 100.7 bogging off the line and misfiring 3 times down the track haha
my buddy ran it to a 14.3 @ 100.3 with it misfiring also

When I first purchased the car it had a chokemaster, I ran a 14.4 @ 95ish from what I remember. It was originally a 2.73 / A4 car.

I got my car back in 2001, it was bone stock down to the paper air filter. With street tires and my 3rd ever pass in that car it went 13.80 @ 102 mph.

Later that year I took it to the first and only NFRA race (who has even heard of it? :D ) and it ran consistant 14.0's at 101 in Bowling Green, KY heat. I had BFG drag radials on it (still the only mod) and I was dumping the clutch at 4500 rpm and it would bog!

my car hasnt been to the track, but the guy i bought it from gave me parts and problems, like tensioner was going ac pump froze a day or so later, and ps pump was dead. it had a blowmaster on it with hideous pipes, cai, and a "new computer" and some added clip in the sensor that goes into the intake elbow, good for "8hp"

When I first got it I never ran it at a track but it probably woulda did 15.xx. Some noob routed the plugs wrong and one was literally severed from rubbing on a pulley. Got it for a steal from a local dealership because it "runs weak, must be losing compression" but the mechanic couldn't find out what was wrong the first time he checked it out...no duh, it was on 7 cylinders!.

After a tuneup it did 13.9 at sea level with an ebay "cai"(really a shortram) and flowbastard.

At least it sounded fast :shiner:. The poor thing was abused, and took a few months of tweaking, tune-ups, and fixing/removing useless "mods" and ghetto-rigged parts.

My car just went 13.49@103 2.09 60ft with 2:73 gears, street tires, Ebay CAI, Headman LTs and Bullet mufflers. Not bad for a third gen. Now its time to see what a few more mods will get me.

At least you didn't have to ride up in a crownvic. Best the car did when I first got it was a 14.44 @ 100.8, had a flowbastard, not cat, J&M lca's, on 315 summitomo htr-z's, and a 2.2 60'. Current best was two weeks ago, 13.61 @104.56, on a 2.15 60', leaving at about 1800-2000, anymore and it just spins like crazy, anyless and it falls on it's face hard, I'm 99% sure that the car 60's better on the street than the track.

never ran mine bone stock. 6 days after i got it it had maybe 8-900 miles on it and did a filter, crane 1.6's, flowmaster's,and a hypertech. it ran 13.66 at 104 with that with not even 2000 miles on it
