Well welcome to the club, I cant quit building AR's, got one in 308, 300 blk, 5.56, and building one in stainless in 223 wylde now. and I wont even start counting handguns or bolt action huntin rifles. but I carry an XDS 45acp, and my wife carries an LCR 357. I am a reloader so that helps to keep the ammo costs down. best of luck to you!

There is no known cure.

Except, maybe ... the purchase of another, particularly kewl firearm. That seems to reduce the symptoms, for a moment.

Here comes some absolute heresy:
I got a h&r pardner pump from dicks sporting goods for 159 and like it way more than my 870 and it is far more fun to shoot. All Chinese talk and bs aside, I would never recommend an 870 again after owning numerous over the years and seeing their decline.
500 and maverick 88 are good guns as well.

I have used a mossberg 500 pump for a bird gun for almost 30 years. very reliable and inexpensive, I highly recommend them, as for the maverick 88, the one I had, had problems, but they stood behind it and after the repairs was very reliable, given the choice I would and do choose a mossberg 500. and the LCR is the same size as a J frame.
