How do I fire up engine with just the engine harness and fuel tank.

I have my engine in place in my 65 Skylark project and want to fire it up since I haven't had it run yet and not sure if it runs. It had a blown head gasket when I bought it. The heads were redone and all new gaskets were put on the engine. I just want to fire it up before I get too far along with the front end so i don't have to pull it after the front body panels are on.

Let me tell you exactly where I'm at with it. I have the engine in. No acc on it, full engine harness with pcm. I also am using an Impala tank and pump. I have a remote starter switch since no ignition is hooked up, and thats about where I'm stuck.

You're going to need an ignition switch hooked up so you get the power to the proper areas.

And, hopefully, VATS has been tuned out of the PCM.
