Just got back from mexico where I ran and beat a mustang 5.0. This is the early 90s model, it had 3.73 rear gears, driver mod, cobra intake manifold, throttle body, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, bigger injectors, bigger radiator and I'm sure a few things I'm forgetting. The roll was 30 and he jumped about half a car bc I was searching for traction. Caught traction and reeled him relatively easily. Then marched on and fully past him by ~105. My car is just "stock" with MSD optispark and wires, bbk shorties, SLP LM1, SLP CAI, 2500 stall and a few other odds and ends. Kinda felt like it was a good kill for mine being relatively stock with just bolt ons done.

Roll races are fun when you've got a ton of hp on tap.

It makes guys that can't hook off a dig feel better about things.

If a dig is convenient, I would give it a go. Roll racing many times just happens. Not every day someone on the road says let's go to a spot and go from a dig. Stopping for a dig race on 287 would be interesting :)

Let's just say it didn't work out too well for them.

I don't street race anymore, either. 25 years ago it was a different story.

I'll just assume you drive a bone stock or bolt on car.
