Hey guys, new to the site here and I'm looking for some feed back on my nitrous set up. Currently my 94' Z28 has full bolt ons etc etc, and I'm planning to run a ZEX wet shot. I am looking to see what gear choice I should make to work with the nitrous as best as possible. I currently have stock 3.23s, and I was wondering if I should bump it to 3.73s or 3.90s. The trans is an A4 with 2500 stall if that helps. Gas mileage and daily comfort are non issues, the car is strictly a weekend warrior. I've seem 3.73s respond well to just bolt on applications, but wasn't to sure if they would respond better to nitrous then 3.90s. I know the first gear in the 4L60e is super short, but I' compensating for that with some drag radials.

My only concern is that I don't plan on spraying the house down with nitrous, I would like to use 125-150 depending on how the car reacts when I go to get it tuned. I was thinking maybe a gear change would help get me into where I need to be to engage the nitrous (not spraying from launch, thinking of WOT at 2nd gear).

I always sprayed from the launch. Only 150 on mine. I never liked a real low gear i had 4.10s at one time and the car felt like it was shifting more then it was pulling

Well I know that the factory 10 bolt wouldn't take kindly to a shot like that from launch lol. Just trying to see what I can squeak out of the car with simple bolt ons.

You'd be surprised. He ^^ has managed 1.5x 60' times on a bone stock 10 bolt. Progressive nitrous controller ftw.
