vette 94/ Trans Am Gt

Guys what differences would a 94 vette Lt1 have over my 94 trans am Gt. Could the motor drop right in? Asking because a buddy has 1 Idk if I should get it or just build a motor b better.... Or if the vette motor is a good base motor to build up? Thanks!!!

They are the exact same internally as F-body LT1's. The "vette" motor is only a thing people have in their heads to think they are somehow better than the F-body engines. Only the LT4 was different but that wasn't released until 96" I believe.
