This was one of the first things I installed in my car hoping to save my passenger window, but the motor in it was already shot before I installed. Haven't gotten around to putting a new motor in to see if this works as advertised, but the install is pretty simple.

I actually noticed this problem in my car since I purchased it back in Oct 13, but it's the drivers window that goes up slower then pass... I was thinking about replacing the motor, but may take the door panel off and have a look first

When the motor starts pulling more amps the factory wires are too small to handle the load plus the small wires help to burn out the motor mainly on the pass side that's what this kit improves on.I also got 2 new acdelco motors.

I have used the kit. My passenger window was at the point that it would require a hand on it to help push it up. Installing the Autotrix kit brought it back to normal for the last few years. I still haven't had to replace the motor. Rather surprising to be honest.

is this kit just a relay with a heavy power wire run to it? then the switch wired to the relay instead if the window motor?

my motor still works it's just slow so based of what your saying I'll install the kit before I start dicking around with the motor then

Essentially, yes. The material can be gathered pretty easily. It wasn't worth the effort for me when the kit came with everything. I may have the diagram/instructions that came with it if anyone is interested. I also had a factory "express down" module sitting around that I wired up at the same time, so my install is a bit different in the end.

yes if you don't mind I would like a copy of the instructions.

Autotrix has a write-up on their site. I will see if it is any different than the instructions that came with the kit when I get home.

I would like the express down enlighten me on how you did that.
autotrix sell's a kit for that also but I think they want too much money for it

Used Franker's tutorial to install it (see below). The only thing I'd recommend is doing one at a time if you are doing the module and the window fix kit. I lost track of what I was doing in the middle of the job and had to backtrack to figure it out. Also, if I recall, some of the colors Brent cites were different than my '94. That also complicated it a bit.

Oh, kit is only for pass side. I got two new delco motors and might give this a shot.

Have you thought about using another in reverse for an express up? Think that's possible?

Express up would be awesome IMO.

I intend to make my own window relay setup. I looked into trying to use transistors or mosfets in place of the relays but I'm not that good at electronics yet.

Looking at the drawing, I think it may be possible. I've already wired my own express down for the passenger, but I'm not interested enough to redo all my wiring to test that. If someone is interested, I could probably draw up a diagram for it. Here's the one I made for myself. Rather than blow way too much money on the Autotrix setup, I made my own including their relays and an express down module.

no need to reinvent the wheel all you need is the relays...

Reineventing the wheel is how progress is made.
