Donor:
97 328i sedan
2.8l i6
4 speed auto
3.91 rear end
190 whp

Transplant
LT1 5.7l
Sealed power forged flat top pistons and rods
Huggins cam
Oversized valves
(Going to carb engine)

Going to be getting rid of:
aftermarket fuel rail with ford injectors
Wiring and pcm
Lt1 intake
Bbk bbtb 58mm I think
Anything else I may not need

Right now I'm in decision mode of
what carb to go?
What trans?
Whether or not if I am going to FI off the start or just a progressive shot?

I just ordered the bearing and seal kit for the engine.
Hoping by August she will be ready n going.

Some pics in my profile of car n engine.

Thanks for future help.

if your looking to go FI with it at some point and want to stay with an auto trans, then i would say go with a 4l80e with a transgo kit

i agree, but figured since the car was originally an auto, he would want to go that route

If its a track car only go auto if it's a street/strip car go 6 speed there awesome on the streets and you have more control of the car good luck either way and the look on people's faces when you open the hood will be priceless
