I used one on a truck I used to own. What are you looking to wire into your stereo? I found that for subwoofers, you only need a right and a left (I pulled from the right rear and left rear). I had initially installed it with all 4 channels hooked up, but it didn't function properly for me that way. I don't remember what I set for the gain adjustments, that truck was 6 years ago.

You shouldn't need the scoshe thing then, that is for keeping the factory head unit and wiring in additional audio components such as subwoofers. All you should need to hook up the kenwood unit is the correct adapter harness that plugs into the factory wiring.

Just did a little digging, I see what you are talking about now. It's recommended to install, but not absolutely gotta have it. Several people have reported running an aftermarket head unit with the stock bose system with little to no issue.
But to answer your original question, you would cut the factory wires and connect them to the input and outputs, then use the little gain dials to adjust your volume increase per increment of head unit adjustment. I have no idea how much each tick adjusts the gain though, as I was just using it to tap the factory wiring to install an amp and subwoofers.

IIRC the Bose system is very similar to the Pontiac Monsoon (and upgrade system before it was called Monsoon). The trick to getting the factory amps kick on in those is to wire the Antenna power wire to the NEW head unit's Antenna AND Remote turn on leads. I've done this in a few cars and never had an issue. You could probably get away with just the Remote lead, but I say both because sometimes the remote lead and antenna supply different voltages depending on head unit.

Well it came with an harness that plugs into factory harness and from there it has you power ground amp antenna and illumintion wires for unit so i guess the speaker hook ups from radio run into top of the scosche adaptor because on bottom side is where you wire the outs for factory harness. God i hope this goes good tomorrow

Good to hear. Just remember all the factory amps in these cars are all triggered by the factory head unit's antenna wire, so as long as you get juice to that from the aftermarket head unit you're good to go. Sucky part is if you've got a power antenna, it will ALWAYS be in the up position when the radio is on whether or not you're on radio or some other input.
