Grudge match set

Weather permitting me and a guy i work with have a grudge match set up for this sunday at delmar drag way. Me: 95 formula 6 speed 67xxx miles, most bolt ons 12 bolt with 3.73s on bfg drag radials. SFCs, LCAs, adj torque arm. Him: 01 bullitt mustang 5 speed 112xxx miles, full bolt ons 4.10 gears street tires. Full suspension qa1s tubular K ect... I think i got him covered. Not sure how fast his car really is tho. What do the experts think? Just a friendly race, nothing too serious. :D

I think it could def come down to driver on this race. Doing best 2 of 3? I think you got him covered as long as you get down the track like you can. Just remember you got the drag radial advantage so make sure you hook off the line and make him try to catch up!

Both manuals, drag radials and displacement difference I would call you... drivers being equal. Mid 13's is a lot of time to catch up. Don't spin and shift it straight and true. GET SOME!

6speed 3.73 vs. 5speed 4.11 that's a nice matchup. If you don't miss a shift I'd say you got this lol

I agree with all ^^^^^, WOULD HAVE BEEN a close race. I texted him this am to make sure the race was still a go. Thats when he told me he sold his car!!! I knew he wanted to sell it to buy a coyote 5.0 but didnt think he was that close. Buyer is getting it tonite. Just my luck I was really looking forward to this race gonig down.

Im sure I will. But Ill be the first to tell you my car dont have nothing for those new 5.0's. The only advantage I will have is seat time and DR's.

New 5.0s come out tha box with over 400 hp. I dynoed mine years ago and made just shy of 300. Havent done anything to it since. Plus the one he is trying to buy (used) already has CAI and full exhaust. Should be interesting tho.

5.0.. 5.schmoe... I do NOT see the appeal and I haven't seen anything from the 5.0 that makes it worthy of all the hype. Pure and honest, observation.

What is it with Mustang guys and getting their butts to a track, to run a race which they obligated themselves to run? FTR: I think you'd have taken that race.
