Can anybody help me out? I have an Auto Meter sport comp fuel pressure gauge and when I start the car the needle pegs out at 100psi and obviously that's not correct LOL. I have the trans out now being rebuilt so I figured now would be the time to look at the back of the fuel rails to see if I could find where this gauge plugs into some sending unit but I'm not seeing anything? If anybody could tell me where this things suppost to plug in at it be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Where do you currently have it tied in at? In my opinion it sounds like you hooked in behind the regulator where all the pump pressure is rather than the fuel rail pressure. If it's mechanical you should be able to take the valve out of the schrader valve and just tighten it down on there. That's how I have mine

I didn't do the gauge work. It was put in by the guy who did the N2O a few owners ago..it might be on the regulator...where is the Schrader valve?

The Schrader valve is at the back of the fuel rail, there should be a small black plastic twist-on cap on it. Take that off to connect the FP gauge. Numbers 7 and 8 in the image below here from shbox.com:

If it's got nitrous maybe it has a distribution block before the regulator to feed fuel to the nitrous kit. He might have put it there instead of the fuel rail. IMO you might wanna double check the entire nitrous setup before you use it. If they got the fuel pressure gauge wrong id hate to trust the rest without inspection.

Ghettogmc23..it just had a fogger nozzle pushed into the intake boot. I'm swapping that for a plate soon. Blackbird96WS6 thanks the pic. I'll. Look tonight and see what I come up with. Thanks guys!

So no sending unit on the Schrader valve guys. Just a braided line and that line runs clear to the tank. Pulled the gauge out of my pod and its an elec. gauge. I'm thinking this whole backwoods hillbilly nos system is going to get pulled off because it just keeps getting scarier and scarier.. someday when I feel like dropping the tank I'll figure out more things. Just figured I could at least fix the gauge prob while my trans was out getting rebuilt. But maybe not. Thanks for the input it was greatly appreciated!

If It pegs to 100 PSI, then the wiring isn't plugged into a sender. And why is there a braided line from the schraeder valve to the tank? That's completely illogical.

Have no clue about that braided line....maybe I should just drop the tank now

+1, the sensor is simply disconnected.
If the sensor was after the regulator, you'd see pressure closer to 0 psi. After the regulator = return line = free flow to the tank = no pressure.

I never thought about it being electric, I just assumed it to be a mech gauge. I've never personally seen an electric fuel pressure gauge
