That is what was recommended to me also for aftermarket. It is a complete kit.....no need to get other modules or anything.
Will run Nos, boost, tranny controller, and meth control if you are going to run one. boost by gear, timer.....is one that does it all without needing anything else.
And also has auto learn in closed loop also.....which is kind of nice. Just need to tune for WOT and has 2 wide bands built into it also.

I'm switching to the HP EFI, same software as the Dominator but less outputs and 1 wideband. With my N/A setup I don't need all the outputs.http://www.holley.com/data/TechService/Technical/HP and Dominator ECU Use and Differences.pdf
Interesting read here (http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=559816&highlight=holley+efi+tablet), I've already bought a windows based tablet just trying to figure out where and how to mount it! I was going to buy the Holley dash but at only 5.7" it's not very big. This is much cheaper than buying all aftermarket gauges, plus it can make adjustments without a laptop.

Holley told me to go with the 550-601 (HP series for me) for a TPI for the best harness match. He said I will need a crank trigger and the appropriate harness, and a an aftermarket CD box (MSD). If your wanting to run coil packs like MeanTA there is a plug and play harness for the GM 24X setups. You'd have to contact Holley for numbers, I don't want to tell you wrong. Once you get it figured out I'd be happy to quote you a price if you'd like.

Not necessarily, Holley makes a harness for the ECU that plugs directly into an LS series engine cam and crank sensors, coil packs, etc (replaces the 24X wiring). I know the Dominator can control the 60E but I'm not sure about the 80E. I downloaded the instructions and it includes part numbers in the wiring steps which helped me out.

That's the way I understand it, I was going to go that route and get the 24X parts from EFI Connection but it was gonna cost more than just buying a crank sensor and using the opti as a dummy distributor.

If you had a bit of time a megasquirt diy kit for ~$250, can run your opti as the timing/fuel signal generator and run ls coil packs.
