daily driver ac issue

I recently noticed that my car reeks of mildew when i turn on the ac. I replaced the cabin filter and its fine if i run just the fan but if i use the ac it smells. I live in florida so i pretty much constantly run the ac. And my dd is a 06 sentra ser. What can i do to fix this. I am imagining that the mildew or moisture is before the blower since when i just run the fan its fine

I'm no expert by far. But you may need to replace the dryer..

You should have a drain in the blower box somewhere. Check to make sure its not plugged

I will check the blower box. I only know enough about ac systems to be dangerous. I always take my cars to a shop for ac work if its not something i can fix very easily

Make sure the drain on the HVAC box is clear. You may be able to use a air blow gun to clear some of the debris out if necessary. There is a fungicide available to fix smelly systems, but I have no experience with it. Worst case scenario is to remove the box and clean it and the evaporator out thoroughly.
