but I need your help. Basically my Mom and her boyfriend are going to get me the headlights/fog lights of my choice for my 1994 Pontiac Trans Am. The headlights I have now suck. Even with my brights on they are not powerful at all + one of my foglights are broken so I am ready to replace everything. I researched a little bit and I have decided I want either L.E.D. s or H.I.D. s. I dont want to get some crappy brand either. I rather throw some of my own cash into the mix and get some really good ones than get some "just ok" ones. I have not found a place where I could buy decent after market headlights and fog lights for my lt1 trans am.
PLEASE!!!COuld you guys tell me which ones are best and/or tell me where I can find a place to buy some? I would greatly appreciate it and it could be your good pre-Christmas deed. If you have any personal preference between LEDs and HIDs let me know. I do love the blue look btw. THanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The absolute best lights I've seen for the 93-97 T/A's is here:

It's a far cry from plug and play though, but it is the very best setup I've seen. If I wasn't so strapped for cash/time I'd do the very same setup.
EDIT: LED's are for small lighting applications (gauges, switches, turn signals, etc) and are currently not being produced for heavy lighting applications (headlights/foglights). In the future, this will certainly change, and LED's will be the superior lighting choice. But as of now, they're not practical for the job. So they're really not an option for you to choose from. You really only have to choose from halogen bulbs or HID retrofits.

Thanks blindeyed, Those are pretty cool. That looks kinda difficult, but it could be worth a shot. Any idea how much this setup would cost? Thank you and Merry Christmas Eve!

THAT setup will cost you about five hundred to 800 w/ the hids, real hid projectors, extra set of lamp housings and then making you own mold.
PLug and Play HIDS, in you lt1 TA is not safe as the light will be scattered everywhere, if you stick it behind you traditional housing.
You need to at least find a hella 90mm halogen projector, retrofit it into your TA, and stick a plug and play hid kit in the projectors.
That'll run you about 300-500.
And there are many quality HID kits (except for ebay) that are much cheaper than your traditional hid kit brand names (like McCollough or Catz)
Make sure you get a hit w/ a relay harness for safe starting of the lights or you risk frying your electrical system.
