I have seen these in the past and NEVER could match up a testimonial with a real person. Some have even had that $500 fee to get you registered, and show your serious. Lol
Let us know if you find any good news out.

The "pro street" fwd celica here in Delaware got its start this way iirc. Anyway my son signed up for the trans am. He wrote a nice story about us not having the money right now and that I may part out my car for him.. we'll see.

Shit, wish I saw this earlier. I did something like this back when CarDomain was popular. I think I paid $200 application fee, and it resulted in me getting "sponsored" for $250 in graphics for my car which just so happened to have their logo all over the graphics.
To add insult to injury - the $200 showed as pending in my bank account forever and then one day just disappeared. I thought "Huh, must not have gotten the sponsorship" and after a few days wrote it off and spent the money that was set aside. A few days later - $200 charge shows back up and I get an e-mail that my sponsorship request was approved. The new $200 charge was dated a few weeks prior, so it put me into overdraft and with a bunch of other little purchases I made thinking I had that $200 in the bank, it ended up costing me another $100+ in overdraft fees. I was so pissed.

That sucks.... Well it never would have gotten that far, as I would not have paid anything for anything.
