So I traded a legit-ly titled K5 for my 1994 Formula, straight up title trades.

I HAVE THE PHYSICAL TITLE FOR MY CAR IN MY POSSESSION!!

Come to find out my Firebird has had a few previous owners who never transferred the car into their names including the last one.
It now seems the only way for this to be transferred into my name is to go through the title bonding process

This is stressing me out as I've put a lot of time and a bit of money rebuilding the engine and transmission in the car and now it seems like my only 2 options are to part it out or bond the title.

Just scim-reading over the bonding process seems like it will take an assload of fucking money to get it down. Is it worth it?
I feel like I am way in over my goddamned head

SOL?

You could find the last person who registered it and have them sign the title and date it and do that, or find a easier way to have them sign it(you sign it with their name). but if the other people have signed it go to the dmv and ask them what to do there maybe a easier wAy then bonding it

I'm going through this process with a truck I just bought....Pain the F****** ass....
The title I received with the truck is a legit title but it's old and there was another one issued that I need to be able to license it.... I'm going throught the bonded process as we speak. Should cost around $150.

Ended up only having to have a letter from the PO (on the title) saying that the name he signed it over to was a mistake and that he sold it to me

:lol::lol:

Car is finally in my name

I've just signed them myself before. Really the easiest option when the PO goes to do some time as a resident of the state, or makes the bus ride back to the motherland. Both have happened to me. Typically the title office doesn't care as long as you have a bill of sale.
