remote power door locks

Hey guys my power locks work on the car but the Key fob works intermittently. My first reaction was that the batteries were dead in the remote so I changed them the power door locks acted exactly the same after the fact. I can be standing next to the car and press them 6 times before they work. Has anyone else run into this and if so what was the fix?

Sounds like its time for a new remote?...I know easier said then found.

Both remotes exhibit the same behavior but its possible any way of testing it
