View Full Version : my junk vs. 2v manual stang... with an lsx t/a bonus

Alright so it was the night of a local cruise and we were all messin around and such. well I got lined up with a black 2v mustang gt at a stop light. We pulled off the light soft, got up to about 15-20mph and then he hammered it and hooked with no warning so of course i put my petal down and proceeded to roast my crappy kumho winter tires up to second gear and then started reeling him back in quick. When we let off we were nose to nose. Prolly woulda kept it going and passed him but the approaching red light had other plans...

Then later that night, 3 of us were cruisin around. From a 20 roll a heads/torqer v2 ls1 t/a (put down 430 rwhp on a dyno) punched it and proceeded to walk me... neither of us hooked at all it was a good smoke show though haha. Then the sheriff drove past us the other way and flipped around and the t/a and I bailed. The other car(02' vert mustang gt) got followed all the way threw town but not pulled over.

Thennnnn even later that night go got out again with all the cars, most notably the t/a, an 01' cobra, both mustang gt's, 2v thunder chicken, and me. Had some tag alongs mostly hondas and old nissans, one turbo civic. We all went a few miles outta town to an empty blacktop road (freshly poured) and sent the cobra in the back way... turns out the cobra driver seen some state p's settin up about half a mile away so we had to bail on that idea.

all in all it was a very successful night i'd say.


Me: 355lt1 cc304 cam, cai, shorty headers, ORY, cutout, 3600 stall, 3:73's, N/A, tuned, simple weight reduction, custom made kumho street slicks :jest:

99' LS1 T/A WS6: ram air, 6spd, torquer v2 cam, ported heads (unsure of casting) ls6 intake, long tubes, ORY, cutout, 4:10's, 430rwhp on dyno tune, also with custom made street slicks

Black 2v mustang gt: m5, cai, exhaust, decent tires, kid knows how to drive it. every time I see it run he hooks, doesn't know anything else about the car, bought it the way it sits

02' mustang gt vert: A4, handheld tuner, cai, exhaust (loud as hell)

01' Cobra: stock as far as I know

2v thunderbird: intake, exhaust





on another note I raced an ls2 auto gto with tires, dig raced. I spun threw 1st gear and into 2nd. I lost about 2 1/2 car links because of it right off the line. pulled on him hard enough to get back to the front of his door when we went past the end mark. there is video of this race somewhere, I'll see if i can find it
