Well I got my valve train all together tonight and fired up the car for the first time in months. I noticed a lot of soot and water out the tailpipe and some milky appearing oil in on the valve cover after it ran for about 10 min so I could check the rockers. I am assuming this is OK as the car has sat apart for months and not run. I pulled the dipstick and the oil looked fine, no milkyness. I need to change the oils for sure. With the new rockers and pushrods she seems to be running smoother than ever. I have had such a run of bad luck lately that I second guess everything. That's why I'm asking for my ltxers opinions.

Dunno. Luck with wife finding job, etc is still bad. Taking it day by day. At least it runs now. Little victories help.

Agreed on the condensation. Do another oil change and clean it out when u can.

Well.... it runs strong but there is still a noise. It sounds like a chirp or whistle under load and only audible between 2-4k rpm. It isn't the belt cause I took it off and noise is still there. Does appear to be on drivers side near the firewall. Sounds like a weak bov between shifts. I took off the valve cover and at idle or free rev I don't hear it. There was a decent water puddle under the car up front. I'm hoping this is just a weird exhaust leak. Any one have this before?

Long shot but, are the spark plugs tight? I've seen loose ones back out and squeak/ whistle.

Hmm..I will look into that. I did have #8 wire pop off for no reason a while ago before this all started.

Anyway... I have oil for the change. As of right now the car will be moved into long term storage. I am just glad it runs now and the valvetrain issues are fixed. I'll worry bout the noise later. The tags on the car ran out in August and I don't have the time or $120 bucks for inspection. I'm going to put a retain on my low digit license plate and drop the insurance that is due in January. I will work on the trans am with my son and do what I can do for free or next to nothing. My son has some money he wants to invest in the car. Once my wife gets working full-time again I will pull the 93 out of hibernation. I hope to not have to part it or sell it.

I threaten to sell it a lot. depending on what he near future brings will determine her fate. Right now i have a place to store her and I have to work on the 3rd gen. Some of my 93's parts may end up on the 3rd gen. I dunno for sure. Thanks for liking it, i wish i got it out more for ppl to see.
