Ok so about a month ago I posted the specs for my new 383 nitrous motor with 11.2:1 com ratio, and most of you said it was a bit low. I was wondering if a thiner head gasket would help. T.E.A. recomended a cometic gasket bore 4.110 compressed thickness .036 I found one that is bore 4.100 compressed .027. Would this work and how much would it boost the comp ratio....

I'm not a nitrous guy but what's wrong with 11.2 compression? That's about where I'm running.

If this isn't a max effort build, youre not leaving a whole lot on the table. If its already built just go with it.

The heads are not on, and I don't have head gaskets yet. I was just wondering if the thiner gaskt would help but it will only raise it to 11.48:1

What's your quench at? You'll want to keep that tight. But no less than .035" just make sure to check PTV clearance.
