Thought I would share some pictures of my formula build up. Its a 355 9:1 that I built 5 or 6 years ago. Its going back together 324 lbs lighter (without touching the interior much yet), a bigger cam, and hopefully around 18 pounds of boost. The only thing I'm waiting on to get it back together is a UMI K-Memeber I ordered from byun speed. Its been 3 weeks monday since I ordered it so hopefully I have it soon. :secret:

Thanks, I'm about to do a face plated T56 and a set of skinnys and slicks. The car has been 7.33 @ 100.5mph before I did all this work (meth, bigger cam, and weight loss)

update pictures

Still waiting on my K-member/A-Arms from Byunspeed. I pulled the carpet up and removed most of the sound deadening. 11.5 pounds of it! I'm keeping the speakers/amp etc. I did route the power supply for both the racetronix intank pump and the inline 255 pump thru the interior of the car next to the factory harness.

very nice, i have decided to put mine on abit of a diet, being that i must add a roll bar. 11.5 for just the sound deadner? or carpet and all?

Just the sound insulation. The interior is going to be mostly stock other than no back seat.

Heres an update. 390 pounds not including the passenger seat. Still have the drivers airbag to remove, some airbag modules and sensors, and I want to do wheels and tires. So far the only thing I've purchased has been the K-member and lower a-arms.

If you're counting pounds be sure to get an actual weight comparison of at least the k-member against your stock one. I have the UMI RR k-member and it only saved 12.6 pounds. VS the 22 they advertise. Their standard k-member weighs 3 pounds less than the RR.

Some factory k-members seem to weigh more than others though. Mine was 48.4 with the drivers side cast motor mount bracket.

Is that a Vortech blower mount bolted to the lower drivers side of your block?

Update, did a few shake down runs on it today. Need to figure out a drop in fuel pressure other than that we are off to some good results.

We did a custom cam and changed up the exhaust quite a bit. So far we are up 80 rwhp peak and 100 RPM in the higher R's.

So when are you planning to run that car?

Dude I didn't know you had a thread about this! I can't believe there's actually that much weight removed, crazy how much the little things add up. Can't wait to see the actual weight of the car. Did you ever weigh it before? We want to get Erik's car weighed as well sometime, with almost everything gone in the engine bay minus the motor haha. I can't wait to see the final numbers and it run at the track. I forsee a hanging of the front wheels! haha
