Track rental for the day, got two passes in.
First pass off the trailer : 11.668 @ 132.18mph
Second pass, boost controller off : 11.562 @ 137.65
Picture is from the third pass, which I botched after it nailed boost and broke loose.
Fourth and final pass... well, snapped off all the flexplate bolts. Back on the trailer.
So, the internet lies about these 10 bolts being all weak.

Sweet. Can't wait to see it dialed in. Boost power boggles me, I ran .15 faster but you got 14 mph on me. Lol
Making you silky smooth...

Best 60' was a blazing 2.2
Did not want to break the 10 bolt on the first pass or two, but ended up breaking other stuff. Basically idled off the line and stabbed it at the 330'

Ok, you've seriously got me outgunned if you're doing that on a 2.2 long....I mean short time.

Not sure if gearing affects short times, but I am on a 2.73 rear so that will def help my trap but may hinder my short times.
Probably getting a 3.00 gear set for rear end if that ever happens

Closest average to one of the second indexes wins that index. Have the fastest overall time, win King of Street.
Soooooo,
Me:
11.95, 11.85, 11.90 = 11.90 average for me.
You:
12.00, 12.01, 12.02 = 12.01 average for you.
You win the 12.0 index as closest, and I win King of Street for the fastest average.... Negating we were the only two.

Ohhhh ok, didn't know it was broken down into indexes, thought it was a free for all.
So I gotta slow down to race you...

et and mph are impressive, sixty foot isn't and that's what kills them. Shownomercy why don't you run a 28" tire? still have abs? Will definitely help the cause when you get a rear and want to start leaving it of the brake with the extra 2" of sidewall

I have basically brand new 26" QTP on the back so they will be staying. ABS? lulz no.
A low gear set, ~3.00 area makes for easy launches. And good traps.

hmmm well burn those turds off and buy some 275 pros and a 3.25 gearset. Not gonna trap good if someone stuffs a hotdog in that turbo.

Nah, 26s and 3.00 gears.
I like that combo.

Shownomercy, you're simply reinforcing the fact that I should move from 3.73's down to 3.42's for my car. But I don't think I can due to the Strange rear carrier.

Should be able to go down to 3.54s and toss a 28 inch tire on the back, high trap speeds shall be yours.
You def have me on horsepower, but I never turned on my meth or leaned on it, so we shall see.

Hmmm.....3.54's could work. And I've no CLUE on HP I'm making anymore. Never got a dyno sheet from my last trip (OK, my wife took it last time). Got told 698 on a mustang dyno at 13-14 PSI, but couple months later could only muster a 134/135 trap speed, and that just doesn't equate. Granted the short times were right at 2.00ish and the tires were struggling as the boost came in, but still.......at 700 to the tire I'd think a bit higher than 134/135.

Not if you are out of gear at the top end, hit up the race track and see whats up.

That's just it. I was winding the fawk out of the motor to get through the traps in 4th. Like near 7K RPM and my power only peaks around 5900-6000.
From the research I've done, if I Strange was ordered with a 3.73 or higher, the rear won't accept a lower than 3.73 gearing. SHould probably call strange, because I'd personally LOVE to have a set of 3.42's in the car instead.

If you have a S60, the lowest you are going is 3.54s, at least that was my conclusion upon looking.
If its a 12 bolt, IDK, I just steered clear of em. lol

Not an S60. Got my Strange 12 bolt and have been nothing but happy save for some leaky axle seals.
*Edit*.....hmmmm.....you got me reading now. Apparently, if the rear came from Strange with a 3.73 gearset, then it's got a 3 series carrier and you CAN step down lower. If it came with 3.90's or 4.11's then it's a four series and you'd have to swap the carrier/diff. So I might be in luck for a future gear swap like I wanted. I just LOVE the feel of a turbo car with a low gearset (my Vette had the 3.42's also) and it just pulls and pulls and pulls.

Gears, Tires, You just don't slap on says Yoda, Where does your power peak, start dropping, at what RPM's are you at the end of the run, this will tell you what setup you should go with, Mine, likes a 3.73 rear gear with a 28" tall tire, with a T56. My power peaks at app 6300, I run the traps at app 6100... Those are some good number by the way..
