Eventually, drive it in the 11s and spray it into the 10s.
For the next year, extremely up in the air until I get a date for the Shootout. I don't want to get anything in the works and then get a date that I can't get it back together for.
If it is Labor Day or later, then probably a small cam and/or a little spray.
If it is prior to Labor Day, suspension, maybe rear gears and some Hoosiers will be the most.

I looked very closely at the $950+ Kooks pictures and could not tell the difference, they are that nice IMO. I think LPP is really going to take off with these.
I just went out and soaked my stock manifold bolts with WD.

Very nice. Liking the merge collectors. For production, the design of those headers as-is, they'd be SIMPLE to modify to a Tri-Y setup.

I know its the cheapest way to do it in terms of production, but cmon, that ORY merge is yucky.
Otherwise, they look great, good luck with em

I am going to take notes on that part as well, if a one piece would've been easier or harder.
I still love the quality, especially for the projected price upon production.

So, I started on the LPP Headers and Y install today. Got pretty far along with the time I had. Also had 99 problems, and only one had to do with the actual headers.
HUGE issue with these locking header bolts: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/stg-8907s/overview/
Stage 8 Locking Header Bolt Kits 8907S. Had to cut 1-1/2 inches off each one because they were so damn long. Then, even after cleaning up the threads with a die, they were still hard to get started while holding header weight in the air. Other than that, they look good and are simple to put the locks on. Good quality.
Should have went with these too, because I couldn't get the 3/8" wrench on half of them: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/stg-8911/overview/make/chevrolet
Pulled the air pump out while I was in there. Gotta tighten the starter bolts, and make sure the passenger side plug wires are clear of the belt and pulleys.
New NGK TR55's.
New 7mm Plug wires.
Mr. Gasket Copper gaskets.

I will look those up. I was just looking at allen head 3/8" from autozone. The #5 primary is very tight on the 3/8 bolt that's for sure, and the rear bolt on #1. The rest weren't too bad.

Doesn't say the bolt head size, but they look smaller than 3/8".

Bad ECM, not reading ECT and flooding the engine with extra fuel. Add on that I didn't have my O2s plugged in probably didn't help.

I got a cc503 from a friend for $150 and ordered my springs and pushrods from alexparts.com he has a kit you can buy come with everything for about $150 then about $75 for gaskets plus fluids. I already had some cheap proform 1.6roller rockers so with that said I don't even have $500 in my cam swap. You can pick them up used all the time. Its power is amazing with stock heads and yours is a 95 I think you said so tuning is no problem. There are other choices and this is the only cam I've had so I have nothing to compare it to but I will say I'm not easily impressed and for Just a cam swap I couldn't be happier.

Some lol. Borrowed ECM in, and the coolant code has gone away for now, but it shares the ECM ground with the TPS which I am now getting a code for. Only got about 30 minutes with the car today at lunch.
Bad TPS, or insufficient ground for the TPS (reading 25-28 ohms), or the wires in the TPS harness side connector that almost completely broken. 5V wire from the ECM had 2 single copper strands left that weren't broken.
Couple '94 PCMs and connectors on-hand now. Ordering the 100W pins for it tonight hopefully, and a new crimping tool.
Have a new TPS and connector to put in it Thursday. Then triple check my passenger side block ground. Hoping that will get her on the road so I can bring her home to work on the
ECM -> PCM swap.
Talked with Moe about some tune stuff. Talked with Lloyd Elliott about some cam and possible head upgrades. Both guys quick to respond, very helpful and knowledgeable (Not new news.) I took it up to my work to do the headers. About 15 miles. Just need to get the TPS figured out, and hack about 3" off the intermediate pipe to close up the exhaust to drive it home.

It's probably the wires that are nearly broken at the connector. FWIW that should be a Metri-Pack 150.2 series "pull to seat" connector. If you'd given me heads up I have a bunch of pins where you could have just repinned the connector instead of spending a bunch of money on a new connector. Just for future reference if you run across more that are like that.

White Zorro is almost road worthy again!
Ended up needing a new TPS and connector. New sensor from Rockauto for $15 and a new connector from Autozone for $6.99, score!
Got it put back together, and the SES went out. Not popping any codes now. Couldn't run it too long as my passenger side plug wires are too close too the header. Ran out of time too, so I didn't get to check the ECT resistance at the ECM, but I did swap the original ECM back in and it was working as well as the borrowed one. Gonna try to verify the ECT issue this weekend and get the loaner back in the mail.
Got my new crimper in the mail today. Still waiting on all my pins from EFIConnection. Laid out my plan for the 93->94 swap, and only going to have to add in a few extra wires. Heated O2s and on the '93 the ECM only has one pin per bank of injectors, and the '94 has an individual pin per injector driver.

Glad to see it's moving along man! So......did that used to be a red car judging by the firewall?
Oh, and as an afterthought.......have you considered just snagging a 94-95 engine harness from a 24x converter who bought new, or a junkyard? Would be a LOT faster than repinning. out with the old, in with the new, they'll both plug in just fine under the dash.

I looked around a little for a '94-95 harness, because I will have to run my own wires once I add a MAF anyway, so it would be easier to just have them sitting there waiting.
If anyone stumbles in here with one cheap I am ready to buy!
It was red, he sprayed as much of the engine as he could, and dipped it white.
