Some of you know I hurt the motor in South Georgia and it had to come apart. It was time as it needed to be freshened anyway so Ty Tech re did some things that we're not good including the 8 to 1 compression ratio. Needles to say he bumped it up along with some work on the heads. I also put an F1x on. We'll I have more power right now that I know what to do with. Last night we were testing the new combo in Holly Springs and I went 4.93 at 133. I shut it off early because I thought an indicator light came on the dash. The indicator light was the shift light coming back on!!!! By the 330 it was probably around a 4.82. Today I am qualifying. Going to leave the tune in it from last night for first round today and see what it goes. I think it can go 4.60 this weekend.

4.92 at 149 mph. Did not 60 like last night and lost a little at 330. Injectors seem to be taxed shows 100 percent duty cycle in the top of low gear.

That's some big speed. When you get the front half ironed out it will be a hell of a run.

If you have enough pump can you bump your base fuel psi? Does it look lean on the logger?

Last qualifier last night went 4.90 124. Car went 1.19 60 and went 3.12 to the 330. It carried the wheels all the way through low gear, once it set them down the car got a little loose and I had to lift. Chopped the the throttle at 3.67 and coasted through. By that 330 it should have been a 4.71. On the 4.80 pass we went 3.16 to the 330. I will give it my best today. We have the # 5 qualifier in round 1. Wish me luck.

So we got beat against Pike. Went a 4.81 which was not bad but the fuel issue got when the air got good. Injector are at 100 percent duty cycle from 7300 all the way until I shift high gear at 8600. The big stuff can't correct because I'm running out of fuel. The injectors I'm running are only good to about 1500 hp and the Weldon pump maxes at about 1600. I have a set of billet atomizer being ordered tomorrow and I'm either going to go with a belt drive or the Weldon 2345. This will solve the issue we are having. This motor will go 4.50s at 155 or so. We did not eve touch the timing on starting line as we left with 10 degrees pulled out and low rpm around 3300. I can also put a different pulley on the blower. The little LT1 kicked ass this weekend. She is happy after the race. Tyree did a complete check before we put it in the trailer and she is perfect. 10 inches a vacuum, no leakage, plugs are perfect and even the belt is in good shape.

Not sure, Im going to focus on getting ready for Ducks race in February. Going to change injectors, fuel pump and probably going to go to 1.58 low gear set for the glide. This way we can ramp the timing in sooner and put more boost/rpm at the starting line. Its seems if we turn the leave RPM over 3600 it wants to wheelie pretty hard.

If you get your car dialed in to run a 4.50 you wouldn't need to change a thing to run a 7-sec 1/4 mile. You could run it out to 1000-1100ft and then just coast. No gear change necessary. Obviously it won't be optimal for it's best 1/4 mile time, but to run a 7.99 you could leave it in 1/8th mile trim. The record is right there for you to claim!

The class he is running in right now seems to have all SBC Turbo cars in the top. He has more power than he can handle right now going down the track so until they hit a limit on what the turbo can do to that block, there probably is no reason to change.

New motor is in the works but Im not going to switch until something breaks (crank, rod or block). Its pretty funny to be able to run with the SB Turbo gangster Fords with Sheetmetal intakes, 10 degree heads that are rolled over, and have 10 times the amount of money $$$ in there motor. Not saying my motor is cheap but the cost is no where near most in X275. This motor still has more in it. When its ready she will be retired and kept for LTX races. The new motor will ultilize the same intake, most of the header design and blower plumbing. When people see my motor they really scratch there head. A 400 inch SBC with 23 degree 215RR head, huh?????....................oh and by the way its an LT1 with a factory block :D

man that car is a ROCKET!!!!

I could tell at the LTX Shootout that you had all the power in the world and the track was gonna dictate how fast you could put the car down the track.

I truly believe that the car has so much power you could probably speed up or slow down the Earths rotation depending on what direction the car is facing when doing a burnout!!!

Hell, you ripped a chunk of concrete out of the track in BG Ky and it hit Kyle McKenzie in the leg, ripped his shorts and put a good sized bruise on his leg.

I have been around a lot of race cars and tracks but that is the FIRST time I have ever seen that.

CONGRATS on getting the car down the track at those ET's.

Thats why you don't stand behind a car doing a burnout. I've been hit with small stuff pebbles before. Usually the burnout box had a bit of cracked concrete/asphalt so you can have pieces come off. Stand to the side and behind, always.

A few years ago I was in the lanes behind a Toyota Supra that did a pro mod burnout and a pebble broke my windshield. Some tracks sweep constantly after each burnout for that reason and some don't. BG did nothing at the LTX race so I'm not surprised.

An old friend told me a story from long ago at MoKan, I guess a guy was standing right at the guardrail where they do burnouts and caught a piece of the transmission when it exited the underside of the car. They said he was blinded in one eye.

As far as BG is concerned, I don't think they want to spend the time prepping the track when they have an evening event, it just seemed like they were going through the motions.
