Movie Review for EMPIRE STATE, starring; Dwayne Johnson, Liam Hemsworth and Michael Angarano is based on a true story. After failing to get into the police academy, Chris settles for a security guard job with the EMPIRE STATE . Chris makes the mistake of mentioning the company's lax security to his best friend, Eddie and gets involved in a scheme to rob the the place..... NYPD Detective James Ransone (ROCK), is hot on their trail, as well as the local crime bosses that want to know who pulled a job on their turf. I love movies based on true stories, even if the budget was not that great. And the ROCK was in it, so I give it a 6 outta 10.

Movie Review for 3/31/2013, END OF WATCH. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Anna Kendrick , is set in LA. Bubble boy and ARMY (from the SHEILD) ar partners in the shitty area of LA. After all kinds of good stuff happening to them, they step in some shyt... and stir up some drama.... its a great movie. It is filmed from that CAMCORDER ESQ look, but its from the same people that made TRAINING DAY.

As a Police Officer I LOVE THE OPENING MONOLOGUE:
" I'm the police. And I'm here to arrest you. You've broken the law. I did not write the law. I may even disagree with the law. But I will enforce it. No matter how you plead, cajole, beg or attempt to stir my sympathies, nothing you do will stop me from placing you in a steel cage with grey bars. If you run away, I will chase you. If you fight me, I will fight back. If you shoot at me, I will shoot back. By law, I am unable to walk away. I'm a consequence. I am the unpaid bill. I am fate with a badge and a gun. Behind my badge is a heart like yours. I bleed. I think. I love. And yes, I can be killed. And although I'm but one man, I have thousands of brothers and sisters who are the same as me. They will lay down their lives for me. And I them. We stand watch together. A thin blue line. Protecting the prey from the predators. The good from the bad. We are the police."

So I will say, it made me laugh.. it made me sit up.. it made me yell, and it even made me "tear." If your a cop, I give it a 7 out of 10.... if your not Law Enforcement, there may be some things you cant or wont get, but I give it just under at a 5 out of 10...

Just watched IRON MAN 3.... as always RD jr was fantastic...and the effects were great. But I def was not happy with the way it ended. WANT MORE!

It was one of those movies that everything that is done by the characters is retarded, idk I just wanted to shoot my tv watching it lol. but you may like it. I agree the previews were good but I personally just didn't care for it.

The purge I was let down by, other than the simple concept of a single night of anything goes once a year.

Just saw Pacific Rim last night. Didn't have high hopes for it. EPIC. Loved it. 2+ hours of rockem-sockem robots kicking ass, and I'm a sci-fi type of guy, so I thought it had a really decent plotline too.

Dawdaw Oblivion was definitely outstanding. Predictable though.....my wife and I had it nailed about halfway through. Very very good though.

ok I watched the hunger games catching fire tonight and I must say that it was a very good movie its not like the first movie but its still a very good movie, and if you read the books bc I don't lol there will be another movie, I think there could have been more action bc I love action flicks but this movie I give 4 outta 5 thumbs up

The call is a good movie. It could have ended much differently if the call center lady was carrying but the ending is so awesome but the twist could have led right into a saw movie.

Saw 2 guns... with Denzel and Mark W. It was good. Some really original parts. Marky Mark was freakin funny in it tho.. even cuppong and throwing a fart at a drug king pin (edward james olmos). It wont win any awards...but def entertaining.

Just rented F&F 6 on demand...and it was cool. Def sad seeing PW knowing he died... but anyways...

Very far fetched...lots of cool action...fights...car stuff...CGI stunts. Not realistic at all but if u cam let go of reality to just enjoy it...its great.

Andddddd...they figured out a way to tie in TOKEO DRIFT...the red headed stepchild movie that made no sense...

Gonna make this one real simple.... BEST of the three MIBs yet. Idk if they will make anymore, but this one was the best.

With that being said, this move actually choked me up at the end.... I always find that a good sign when a part draws me in so far.

For one I love action sports movies, but always am leery cause usually the sport which the movie is centered around is just a slight background to the story. "Drift" seemed to balance it perfectly, as I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The best part of the movie is the filming. I watched it here at work on a 18" monitor and it was pretty impressive. I've seen a few other home grown Australian movies before and it was pretty bad; but this one is defiantly a great movie. Its a 4.5 / 5 stars in my book.

Movie review for 11/22/14, BRICK MANSIONS staring Paul Walker. I wanted to like it... but it sucked. Great fight scenes... alot of awesome parkour (however u spell that)... but the movie based on a part of Detroit that was so far gone and "trash" that a corrupt mayor has a plan to "take care of everyone." Walker and some guy good at Parkour lead the charge against the main hood rat...just to.... well, u will see, but if u dont... ur not missing ANYTHING. I GIVE IT 0 STARS.

I finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night. I liked it at first I didn't think I would cause; C'mon a talking raccoon with a tree as a partner. I know this make no sense cause all the other Avengers being I somehow found a giant green hulk believable. Don't judge please...lol

Plus I'm a big Marvel fan and it was pretty cool seeing the correlation between the movies and Agents of Shield.

Ok watched SAN ANDREAS last night and damn was it an action / intense movie the rock did awesome as always, the movie is about the San Andreas fault and the rock plays an LA fire department rescue helicopter pilot, the movie had some funny parts but mostly it's a intense movie and give it 4 1-2 stars out of five its a must see movie

Went and saw Max at the theater the other night great movie for anyone that loves dogs.
It will tug on your heart strings, but it has parts to make you feel the full range of emotions.
It hit close to home for me because I know the guy that established and runs http://www.save-a-vet.org/
which is a sanctuary for ex military and police dogs that were not fit to be adopted for whatever reason.
I have spent time around several of the dogs and have grown fond of many.

Watched FOCUS with Wil Smith. We love 99% of the stuff he has done... even straight to DVD stuff like 7 pounds. The only thing we didnt like was that one he did with his son, that was all futuristic.

Anyways, this movie started out great... had an original story line, and alot of subtle adult humor... but as you took the ride through the entire movie, you expected something to happen.... but it never really does. It just ends.

My all time favorite number one movie in the world.

Never get tired of it. EVER.

But nowadays I wince when they smash up all those old beautiful, masculine, beastly, elegant, police cars.

When they floor it and you here the secondaries open up in those carburetors in the chase scenes, I pop wood and get goose bumps.

I digress...

Last big screen movie I saw was Dr. Strange & it was ok. Meh.

I watched "The Big Short" last night about the housing crash in 07". It's sad and mind boggling at the end. I enjoyed it not as a happy ending movie but one that made you think and spend 3 hours on wiki after.
Also, watched the Netflix movie "True Memoirs of an International Assassin"...Mall Cop + Bourne = This movie. Entertaining but not gonna make you say wow.

Watched Jack Reacher 2 wasn't bad lots of ass kicking and Arrival. Reacher was the better but . Arrival made you think. Just had to turn up the volume to hear the dang dialog. PITA

Finally saw Hackshaw ridge, only complaint is why in the world did they cast Vince Vaughn for that role. Otherwise great movie, Mel may be crazy but this and We were soldiers are amazing movies.

Finally saw Hackshaw ridge, only complaint is why in the world did they cast Vince Vaughn for that role. Otherwise great movie, Mel may be crazy but this and We were soldiers are amazing movies.

I took my son to see it the weekend it came out. EXCELLENT movie. Sad ending tho.

May have even been better than apocalypse.... Which I thought was a great movie.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot . Pretty dang good movie. Not bad really, Tina is way more plateable . I thought, and its on Prime so Free. Free is good. You know I Was in the Air Force but it was Peace time. I would still like to thank all who have and who are serving.

Yea the main marvel xmen character that couldn't be killed gets a cold and can't fight anymore, then he dies....
It's a good movie but they should have just brought in a new actor if Jackman didn't wanna play wolverine anymore.

Just watch Fate of the Furious Of, At first it was awesome, then it pissed me off, then I was in suspense... then by the end it was hands down the best movie I've seen since Fast and Furious 7

But watched another new Gibson movie, Blood Father, which, wasn't bad. Expected an action flick but was more of a drama/thriller kinda mess. Also watched Sabotage with Arnold, that was a trainwreck. First half was ok, then when the twist was revealed it was like wtf guys way to take the lazy way here.

Meh, way to predictable

Took my son to see infinity war, superheroes aren't really my thing but, wow, excellent movie. It's 2hrs and 40min long but felt like 30min.
Lots of action and great story line, and lots of surprise kill offs.
Even if you're not into superheroes I highly recommend
