Went to the track tonight :)
I guess proper suspension and a good 60' goes a long way.
My car has a stock motor with only suspension, a converter, and intake/exhaust with a 255 et street

Looks like you did pretty well. Most folks go in the opposite direction regarding suspension vs. engine mods.

The only actual mod done to my motor is a 58mm tb and the bypass, only because I got lucky and found the tb at a junkyard for $30 :)

Looks like you could contend for street stock.;)

Since that class allows for an electric waterpump, maybe ill compete in a year or two when i can get that, 1.6 rockers, and a better rear ;)

Nice going, high stall converter and sticky tires make such a big difference.

That bounce off the limiter? Haha and what suspension mods were done?

Yeahh haha, LT1s shift based off of mph and not rpm, so it does that with drag radials. But I have full tubular suspension front to back: k member, upper and lower a arms, bigger sway bars, tunnel mount torque arm, lcas with brackets, and adjustable panhard.

Why a year or two? Even if you don't have all that, bring it next year! Sounds like a fun car to watch! And def a runner in street stock. Should def look at making the trip next year.

very good example of what suspension can do.
60 ft is EVERYTHING!!!!!
The 104 MPH shows it doesn't have much power but it is getting down the track faster than a lot of cars making alot more power (and trapping 110-114 MPH).
Great job.

Faster than me down the track and I go 113mph at the big end. Nice run for sure!

8.0 1/8th mile!! at only 81 mph wow that's a great setup right there! 1.6 60ft.... I could only dream of that!

Thanks guys :) I wonder how much some skinnies on the front would help. And what should my next best bang for buck mod be? I have some 1.52 roller rockers laying around from my 69 z, but idk if its worth putting those on when I should be looking at 1.6 or 1.7s.
Well, I'll just say that an 8.0 1/8th on a Stall is not fast… it's ridikerous. Car launched good, Shifted fine, minus that little tickle… Must be one helluva suspension setup.
How come my fully tubular Suspension won't do that? Inquiring minds GOTTA KNOW!
Come on OP… GIVE!

Impressive!!
Brother that is a nice setup. I really like the mid-length ATA...
Im still running the stock rear sway bar... and its not installed yet, but I've got a BMR Trak-Pak and their SFCs in the shop waiting to go on...
I am stacking hope on top of optimism, that I get the same efficiency that you're getting. I've just had a train wreck of crap hit this build... but hopefully we're burning thru it and will come out on the other side sooner than later.
I'm amazed at the 8.0 with an 81 trap. Incredible... Good on ya!

Thanks sir, just make sure you get your geometry set up right and you should be good :) I like the relocated torque arm as well, except for the fact that it sits really low, so my car being lowered, it scrapes sometimes.

Do you have any pictures of your cars ride hight? I might have missed it but what springs are you using, thanks.

Car gets down the track pretty well! definitely a contender for street stock. Do you run the front swaybar at the track?

Yes I was running the sway bar, and its a solid 35mm bar which probably weighs around 30 pounds or so, even though it is chrome moly :P Im sure with a drag wheel setup, no sway bar, and an ewp/roller rockers I could be faster still.
