Ticking like an exhaust gasket leaking? Try going back over all the header bolts to make sure they are tight. You should do this for several heat cycles

^^^This, best thing you can do for a set of headers is use high quality gaskets like copper ect and keep going back and re-torquing the bolts till they take a set and after that you should be tick free.

They are tighter then no other I went over them last night to make sure but everything I have seen when people did headers on a l99 they hear lifters just chattering away so idk lol I'm lost I will check the flange tonight as well to make sure

i made sure they were fricken tight when we put them on. and i think the "leak" is comig from where the headder meets the exhaust flange on the drivers side. that sid is a bitch to get tight, i had to cut a wrench in half so we could tighten the stupid nuts, there was no fricken way a socket was going to fit, i had a 3-4 ft extension with a swivel and still couldnt get the socket on there. i told him to just delete the cats and let the exhaust shop worry bout it.
the lifter noise is more noticable though but this other sound is def not lifter or valvetrain noise
