So I'm probably the only one to ask this, but I'm a noob, so please pardon my cluelessness lol.

Needing to put some new shocks on the Corvette since it bounces around and vettes shouldn't ride like trucks... Thing is, I don't wanna put the shitty house brand stuff on it from O'Reilly or Autozone, was thinking at least some Bilstein HD Shocks. Will the ones sold for F-bodies also fit the Y-bodies? Summit doesn't list any shocks when I tell it to search for a 94 vette, but as far as I can tell from looking at TireRack, they appear to be the same part as what I can order for the Trans Am. Can anyone confirm this?

It squats a lot and bounces around like my dad's Silverado lol. Not as bad as the Lumina, which currently needs shocks as well, but it rides like a bucking bull jumping all over the road lol. Looking to stiffen the ride back up.

I just searched Summit racing and came up with 3 pages of shocks for a 94 corvette.

Ok, I guess I was just doing something odd and the site was being dumb, I found the shocks for the Vette this time around. Guess we can delete this thread! popo8
Thanks, Featherburner.

No need to delete it... I can clean it up... you feel like posting a link to what you found?

Sure, from SummitRacing:

http://www.summitracing.com/search/department/chassis-suspension/part-type/shocks-and-struts/make/chevrolet/model/corvette/submodel/base/year/1994

From TireRack:

http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susptabl.jsp?autoMake=Chevrolet&autoModel=Corvette&autoYear=1994&autoModClar=

Looks like TireRack has a better deal on the Bilsteins, and more options for other brands as well.

Not sure on the C4, so you might research, but in the C5 world there were two different valvings available in the Bilsteins. You had the regular HD's, and you had the sports. The sports were for lowered cars so you didn't blow out the shocks. I used those on my C5 and LOVED them. They even solved my bump steer I kept getting. Just food for thought if they're an option.

Yeah, I noticed that too. They were all pretty clear in stating that they are either specifically for the Z51 package or not for the Z51 package. Monika's vette rides at truck height  so I know it doesn't have the Z51 package on it. The regular Bilstein B6 HDs work for this car.

Lol yeah. As it is, the Vette has about .5 to 1 inch or so extra ground clearance than the TA does air dam to air dam. I just couldn't imagine trying to get in/out of it after lowering, I already feel like an old, tall person trying to get in/out.

Yes, Ill see if I can find the write up. We have a leafspring front susp...it actually sits across on the c4s....

U need to "simply" install lowering wedges.... lol.
