Hey guys, since my car isn't having a ton of hits selling(roller) I am thinking about making it drivable again. I found a 95 complete motor and trans(comes with everything minus the ecu) but has motor harness. My question is would that harness plug into my cars body harness? I still have my harness from my 97 too. But not sure about all that. Any insight would be awesome thank you!!

Do you still have the motor from the 97, mainly the timing cover? If so, use that on the 95 motor (and the crank sensor obviously) with the 97 harness and you should have very few issues getting it going.

Agreed. Essentially all the internals are the same, you'd just have to change over the timing cover from the 1997 engine to the 1995 engine

You also need the knock sensor, reluctor wheel and balancer from the 97 if you are running the 97 harness.

That's what I was wondering. If I buy this motor and not change the front cover(I still have mine though) could I just buy a 95 ecu and make it run? I'm just worried all the plugs inside under the passenger floorboard won't plug into my 97 harness? Thanks guys for all the help!

Use ur 97 harness, u just wont need rear o2's or crank sensor, just have em tuned out. You cant use a 94 pcm unless the 95 trans is a early version without pwm tcc control
