Good Idea, Bad Idea - Names in Sig...

On a local Indy car forum all of the members put our names (usually first name only) in our Sigs. Seems to make it more social when everyone knows each others names. Everyone on here (so far, hope it stays this way) seems to get along really well and we are all here for the same reason. We are over 800 members strong now but what does everyone else thing about this idea?

Yeah, I know some do, some don't. Some use their names as their username too. Most people post their names in the intro's too. But not everyone looks at the intro's nor can remember all of the names.

I figured if I made a thread those who wanted to could, and those who never really gave it a thought might want to as well.

Agreed... exponentially in person. It's usually funny though. At one of the national truck shows I've had people come up to me and say "you're chevy786324812? Right?" Or, "your chevy, with like, a bunch of numbers, right?" :jest: People who know me well and what the numbers ARE, never mess it up.:secret:
My username isn't very orignal... but some guys are literally known by the username; and some people don't find out their real name till MUCH later, which I find really funny.:laugh:

I do it typically. As people start to know me by name I take it out.

Morely on local boards as I'm not worried about whether people on National boards know my name.

I have it on almost all of the boards I'm on though and I see it's not on my sig so I'll update it for ya.
