my car has 137,000 and this one has 174,000 on it, is there any way to just spin it backwards or do I have to tear apart the cluster and swap the odometer, it would seem easier just to spin it backwards to the mileage

You should be able to simply swap the odometer. DO NOT try to wind it backwards, it'll get damaged.

nice I got the odometer swapped, it fixed my charging and 3 trouble lights, all because he filled all the lights with LED's they were so bright they bled over to my trouble lights..

looks much nicer and I didn't crack the dash :)

I rolled back the mileage on an old '90 gmc sierra back in like '95. I remember having to be really careful not to tear things up but it worked. Of course those were my younger days and I like to think I've matured since then....ahem.

On the mechanical odometers any speedometer repair place can roll it back with the proper paper work.
