Big fan of the over the radiator intake. Your headlights kinda look like my fog lights lol. Sounds like it'll be an awesome build

Thanks all I'm excited to get it. I like the headlights he put in it because of how unique it is and well it has a adjustable opti for a 93-94 so it's the star gear so ill need to get a different cam and opti so it can be tuned correctly he's done everything himself he bought it bone stock almost 3 years ago so yea. popo8 I'm probably gonna be asking for a windshield sticker soon

Isn't the adjustable opti where you can +/- about 4 degrees? I always heard it didn't help but personally I think it would be kinda nice for testing.

Prolly a msd, you can retard or advance the timing 5 degrees, but most say to leave it alone. You dont need to get a different cam, just get a vented cover and vented opti and change the dowel pin length

Thats what I was waiting to see..so that I could advise him not to mess with it.

Just didnt know if there was something else out there that he may have been ref to.....

I'm probably gonna replace it with a non adjustable opti because I don't want to mess with it the 503 cam I bought will get put in it at some point in the future

I wouldnt touch it, a competent tuner can do it all through the ecm.

Its prob an msd...leave the screw alone... DO it all thru tune.

I used to have the same opti.

Ya don't waste time replacing it. Set it at 0 and wait for the opti to fail to replace it

Well he doesn't remember but he's tuned everything mostly by ear because of some issues but once I get the car ill be getting a correct tune from one of the tuners here which ones can tune a 96 camaro I'm going to have all the tuning cables because he's going to give those to me so yeah

Sounds almost like the car was built by someone who was good with a gen 1 sbc. Definitely a good starting point IMO.

kinda off topic, wouldn't adjusting the opti manually be the same as setting the spark table bias in the programming? Just wondering
