Sweet-94Z28 has stepped up and become a sponsor of the board. I'll let him chime in with what he's all about, but trust me when I say his service can definitely be a crucial one!

Hello everyone! I'm really looking forward to this as I am finally in a position where I can help out the LTX community.

I will posting up more details tonight of what all I am offering and doing. Basically, Mickelson Performance will be offering low cost, accurate computer tunes and other services for LTX/LSX cars. I am a perfectionist, and I will work as hard as I can to please the people I work for. I've been working on F-Bodies since I was 15 years old, so I've been around these cars heavily for almost 9 years now. I have built/tuned LTX cars for all kinds of different situations, but this is my first attempt to go public with my venture on the forums.

Woot!
Where are you located?
Since you do LT/LS stuff, are you comfortable doing 24x stuff?

I have actually been working on some 24X understanding. I have helped a few people on LS1Tech work through their 24X tunes, trying to dial them in. I use HPTuners for all LSX based applications and for pretty much anything else I can (I have even done some 5.7 Vortec Trucks/Vans from 98-2000). I'm located in the Jackson, Michigan area, and I am willing to travel a few hours if need be. I currently do not support benchtop LSX tuning because I mainly do mild to heavily modded LSX applications and there is a lot more variance in the computers/software. If I get demand for stock/bolt-on applications, then I will invest in the equipment to do it.

Are there any benifits to having any tuning changes done to a stockish vehicle?

Ie: my 2002 6.0 escalade?

I just thought I'd throw this out there. I started a Facebook page for what I've done, but it barely contains a portion of the stuff we've been doing. This summer was very slow (graduated college, got a new job in a new area, bought a house, and lots of other life events going on).

CANT WAIT! To get tuned.

OK, so here’s what I am looking to do. All mail order tune prices INCLUDE return shipping with $150 of insurance on the package for all LTX PCMs. At this time I do not have much experience with the OBD2 LTX PCM and would recommend converting to OBD1 if you can. I will look into OBD2 software, but tunes will be similar in price to LSX tunes due to licensing.

Mail Order
-LTX OBD1 gear change/tire correction/skip shift delete - $50
-LTX OBD1 stock with or without bolt-on tunes - $100
-LTX OBD1 modified NA or nitrous tunes - $125
-LTX OBD2 to OBD1 conversion PCM with tune - $150 with a good core OBD1 PCM
-LTX OBD2 to OBD1 conversion PCM with tune - $225 no core

Street Tunes (in person, I ride around until we are both happy)
-LTX OBD1 gear change/tire correction/skip shift delete - $25
-LTX OBD1 stock with or without bolt-on tunes - $75
-LTX OBD1 modified NA or nitrous tunes - $100
-LTX OBD2 to OBD1 conversion PCM with tune - $125 with a good core OBD1 PCM
-LTX OBD2 to OBD1 conversion PCM with tune- $225 no core
-LTX 24x tunes are being developed. I’m looking for some cars that I can get ahold of to figure out what the LTX likes with the LSX PCM. I am fully confident that the LSX controller is much better than the LT1 PCM, but will take R&D time that I do not feel the first customers should pay for. If the car is made available, I will charge less than my comparable LSX rate and have the car dialed in when you leave ($100 of this is just credits through HPTuners!!!). After the first tunes if there is enough demand, I plan to offer these tunes by mail order as well.
-LSX Tunes for Gen 3 engines stock or bolt-on - $150
-LSX Tunes for Gen 3 engines modified NA or nitrous or boost - $200

Parts and other Services
-Porting LSX Throttle Bodies - $50
-I port heads, but I don’t like to. Haha. I mainly do it for engine builds I do.
-Wiring Harness stuff
-4th gen Suspension spec and installation

And yes Larry. A tune in that escalade of yours will help out a fair amount. Is it the LQ9? I think that's all they put in those gens of escalades.

I totally forgot about putting email tuning in there!
LTX stock/bolt on - $50
LTX modified - $75
LSX stock/bolt on - $125
LSX modified - $150

Depends on the datalog format for LTX. Windows 8 is being funky about the old programs. I had data master, but I think I need to get a newer version with my newer computer.

Honestly, an excel file with major sensor data has worked before for me. I'm not too picky. Haha

Now that I have all of this rolling, I will try to get the right version if data master and get it to work. I've actually hit the tune right on a lot of LT1 cars just taking notes on the sensors using freescan and a wideband. Haha.

I'm going to be with some family for most of the holiday weekend, but please PM me with any needs and I will get caught back up on everything Monday. I appreciate all of the interest and really look forward to working with a lot of you!

No shit just put two and two together that you're in Jackson right around the corner from me. :woot: Even better yet!

Right now I have the links for the banners going here - do you have a different link you'd like people to be directed to if they click your banners?

And do you support TunerPro log files?

I would like the link to just send me a PM or an email at mickelsonperformance@yahoo.com. I will look into tunerpro log files. Send me one if you have one.

I don't know if I did their car.... I've done a lot of tunes, haha. Thanks for the welcome!!!

Welcome! I will be waiting patiently for OBD2 LT1 tuning availability.

Would you be interested in an OBD1 conversion? It's much cheaper to tune once you have it and it really seems to run the vehicle the same as the OBD2 setup. I can do resistor in computer mod, or I can send you a new knock sensor and that's all that's required to convert other than the OBD1 computer. Only downside would be emissions testing if you have it.

My understanding an upgrade to an lt4 module will also allow the swap from II to I

The resistance of the knock sensor is different. I'm not sure if just a module will filter that out. I know the LT1 is really sensitive and I usually do what I can to turn them back a little bit. From what I heard, you can't get the LT4 knock module anymore though. I have not confirmed this through GM though. I had one in my 94 Z28 though, and I bought it through GM in 2007.

We had thay convo on here before because my last tuner did something...that allowed him not to use a resistor...or am lt4 sensor...
JPack was best able to explain it to me that it was because of the lt4 module.

Yes, since you can throw a lt4 knock sensor in obd1 and 2 without swapping out the sensor, it eliminates the need for resistor mod or swapping sensor.

Gm did stop selling the lt4 module. They can be found though but for a price.

Alright... Just got tunerpro to work on a car tonight with my new, windows 8 laptop (had to go borrow my brother's heads/cam LT1 Trans Am to get it working)!!! Can someone send me a log so I can test reading a log file remotely??? Thanks!

I can't access my personal site while I'm at work since GM blocks it, but you should be able to find three logs I just uploaded to http://www.meissenation.com/datamaster/tunerpro/

Thanks! I will check them out when I get home tonight. I found one, but could only see the sensor data, no dash for some reason. The dash worked great in the car though.
