Well my beater rolled 350,000 today. Its a 2000 toyota corolla. I bought it used in march of 07 with 48,xxx on it. Have yet to replace anything major water pump, alternator, ect.. Just normal routine maintenance stuff. Still get 37+ mpg. Best $6,000 ive spent.

Other than tractor-trailers I have only seen one vehicle over 300k. Old Blue Ford pickup. 79LT1Monte

That's awesome man! My dad's old 91 Lumina finally snapped the timing chain and ate itself on the highway at around 325k miles. Impressive as hell!

1.9 cents per mile originating cost and getting lower by the day, you can't beat that!

I gotta find the pic of my grandfathers 96 civic odometer. It had 430k, only reason he sold it was my grandmother wanted something automatic. Their brand new honda suv has nothing but problems now.

Im putting my 224k mile motor in my 96 roller right now lol, and hotcamming it. Compression checks good and it doesnt burn/smoke oil or coolant.

I drove my little $2k Civic for 5 years (80k+ miles) until I parked it a few weeks ago. She just rolled over 250k. Got to love cheap reliable beaters!

Nice! Are you having any of the typical 1ZZ oil consumption issues? My 01 sips a little bit but not terrible.

Yes actually it does. Little over a quart every oil change (4k). But you wont hear me complain. Especially considering it still has the factory alt., waterpump, etc.....

The only thing I've seen with over 350k was our old '82 4x4 Blazer with a 6.2l diesel. Had 350+k miles before the engine finally gave out. I miss that truck.

That is amazing. I'd be curious to know how it'd fair out on a compression test. I had a '94 Prizm and it had ~150K before showing signs of a bad cylinder.

my friend has a 98 accord with 475k and counting.
the crx i sold him had 425k on it still going strong when we did a DOHC motor swap.
when they get over 300k it's not a odometer it's a badge of honor!!!!

Well, hit another milestone this morning on my way to work. Still on the factory original alternator, water pump, and starter. But she's using about 3 qts of oil a month and there is some definite knocking under the hood. Oh well I'll keep runnin her til she leaves me stranded. Oh yeah, still averaging about 35 mpg.

What condition is the car in cosmetically.

Honestly not too bad. Exterior looks like a 150,000 mile car the interior is in really good shape despite the fact I practically live in it and I smoke like a chimney. We don't want to even talk about under the hood tho. I'll post some pics when I get a chance just for laughs.

Sounds you could say a word if the engine let go. It has served you well. My 94 isuzu pup has 200k worth of hard beaten and abused miles on it.

Dang, that sucks man. try the fix for the consumption in car yet? It's possible, pretty much a quick rebuild in car.

Well after driving the hell out of this car for almost 9 years and putting over 370,000 miles on it she finally said no mas. Last Thursday on my way to work she stopped running and would not restart. I don't have the time, money, or energy to put into it anymore.

Hell yeah I'm trying to sell it. Everything on it works flawlessly......except the engine lol. And the car has never been wrecked. It's clean straight and completely rust free. Hmmm wonder if I could fit an lt in there.

Sold it today. Had it on CL for $500. Which I wasn't expecting to get. Got $350 for it. Which I honestly think was a good deal for both me and the buyer.
