When I plugged in the horn connector thing(picture one) the little plastic lip that holds it down in the column broke. I'm wondering what my next move should be, can I just replace the yellow/white thing in picture two?

the white thing and the yellow thing are two seperate parts. the clock spring will not fix your problem you can buy the white thing at just about any parts store its called a horn contact

thanks, once I finally got the pin off and got the clock spring out I realized that, after taking a break from the car and coming back a lot less frustrated, I ended up just heating up a knife and making a new notch for the horn connector, it works good so far, I also learned that grant wheel fits a lot better without the clock spring in
