Bored and trying to avoid studying for finals. :jest:

- $50k to spend on your dream garage
- Minimum of 1 car
- Maximum of 3 cars
- If your current car is one of them, figure a fair market price for your car (so it must be accounted for in your $50k budget)

Personally I think this would be fun.

I budgeted ~$25k for the Hummer and ~$25k for the Cobra. Hopefully with enough money leftover for a ORX/Pulley/Catback for the Cobra.

I figure I'm close to 50K with my current stable in my garage. But I've recently been thinking I'd like to build a sweet 2nd gen like one my dad just sold. He sold the silver car below for 54K so it would have blown my budget....

Here is my current garage -

Can I come live with you?

With 50k dollars, I would probably get a Duramax crew cab long bed and boost it to hell. And keep the Z as humiliation.

It would b my car. Also a 97 Black T/A WS6 6spd ttop. And then a Black 95 VW Corrado VR6 S/C 5spd. Does it count if i dont keep my 05 GSXR 1K in the garage? Cuz it actually sleeps in the shed lol

Werd. That seems like a pretty good deal. I'd prefer a speedway white Z06 with a D1SC though. ;)

I'd say your over budget, especially if your wanting the lift kit on the D-Max.

I figure ATLEAST $32k for a 2007+ Dmax
$12k for the SS
and I believe MSRP on a Night Train is around 18k.

Budget dream garage:

03-05 SL55 AMG -- $40-45K for mid-mileage clean example
http://laserpropark.co.za/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/mercedes-sl55-amg-front2.jpg

And a beater. Sadly, with family life in my future, tis a dream only, and I have to settle for these:

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/Fastbird93/Multiple%20Cars/DSCN3615.jpg

and this:

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/Fastbird93/Pacifica/DSCN4746.jpg

Let's tally: Car costs only.....$6K (Trans Am), $21.5K (Vette), $7.5K (Celica), $12K (Pacifica). Now let's double that with mods. :D

my old neighbor had a hummer just like that only red. biggest waste i have ever seen. it looked cool but a complete waste.

i already have 4 cars now so i would take a nice full size truck, suv or avalance. then add a nice lift, a good trailer and finish my street rod with the left over. and do a solid axle swap on the wifes crew cab s-10 just to play with.

A more likely setup for me would be.

'03 Silverado SS
http://www.countryhay.com/SEMA/GM/chevysilveradoSS.jpg

'97 Camaro SS #2703 (sig) + AI H/C 355

Then probably another toy as I'd have easily $15-20k left over. Yamaha R1 or Mustang SVO setup for Auto-X maybe.

Well, with the Duramax, you get at least twice the truck.

And if you're interested in pickin up some ponies, which has the obvious advantage in the aftermarket department?

(Yes I realize the LS based motor is probably the most commonly modded motors besides a Ford 5 liter...)

(Yes I realize the LS based motor is probably the most commonly modded motors besides a Ford 5 liter...)Your areguing from a completely different prospective. I'm saying I couldn't blow $50k on a truck, no matter which has the most power. I'd rather have an average truck and a fun car. That duramax isn't going to be able to handle the way a sports car can.
