I have the Hero2 HD and love it. I would really like the new 3, just because it has the remote.

I had a Hero2 breifly last year, roommate and I went halfs on it. I was just really disappointed with the sounds. However it survied following off a car being in the rain for an hour etc.

They hold up great obviously, but I guess I just feel that for the money there are better sensors out there that can be used.

You need to get the motor sports edition otherwise you will need to purchase the suction cup mount separately.

I have a GoPro2 and GoPro3 black and like them both. The sound is much better on the 3 but the battery life on the 2 trumps the 3. You can search my username on YouTube for a bunch of vids taken with both cameras. They are a lot of fun.

I have a regular old digital camera from 2004 and I mount it like the go pro using the following mount I got on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Panavise-809-Camera-Window-Suction-Cup/dp/B000246ST6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1377004018&sr=8-4&keywords=suction+mount+camera

I've driven ~70mph around the track with that mount and haven't had any issues with it. Especially for how big and clunky my camera is.
