Picked up a set of the LPP LTs and ORY not to long ago. These are some bad ass headers. 321 Stainless steel 1 3/4 stepped into 1 7/8th with 3 inch collectors. There are still a few sets of these left for those in the market. GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN. These are just as nice if not nicer than the KOOKs LTs but for $550 shipped in the US.
Check them out.

Very nice header for an EXCELLENT price. My budget is tight and I'm a bit hesitant about picking up stepped headers, or else I'd have a set. (I'd have to remove my oil cooler plus the fitment issues with the steering rack)

very nice they look very good. Any idea what kind of mufflers or exhaust your going to run on that thing?

Im not sure Im seeing what you are.......... but those look unfinished and they are not 321 stainless they are 304. Those also are not stepped headers. and cost twice the price.
Yours are great headers too, and if i didnt find these I would have bit the bullet and went with the Kooks stepped headers.
Maybe I should take some new pics.

Wow extremely nice setup for the money man. If I didn't already have headers I would have gotten those as well.

i'm so on edge. i have new jet hots on the car from the build but i SO want a set of those headers/ORY. when the motor comes out next summer for more fun i hope a few sets of these are still around...either that or he's putting out more and more...
georgeous.

They do look like a very nice setup.
FWIW, there is a bit more to a good proven set of headers than how they look and a "feature" list... Especially the 321/304 comparison when not a turbo application, as your NA LT1 will never see sustained temps high enough to ever humanly tell a difference in the thermal expansion/conductivity between the two grades.
Are there any posted dyno gains or comparisons between Carl's headers and any other brand?
I have not seen a dyno comparison but george from kooks says they are an exact copy of his basicly.
But you do admit 321 is better than 304 and cost more as well and if a finished look isnt worth something then everyone would be driving around shit boxes.
I dont see the justification in spending double the money for a very very similar set of headers that could of been polished & made of better material for less money?
Who cares if Ill really need 321 its better than 304 and im happy with that.

I have not seen a dyno comparison but george from kooks says they are an exact copy of his basicly.
That's not 100% correct.
They claimed that LPP copied the design, they also pointed out differences
in the bends. Which may or may not affect performance. They also suggested that
the material used is not 321 or 304. (I'd be interested to see if that's true or not)
As for a dyno, I have yet to see any comparison done.
There was one from the LS1 setup at one point, but it's since been deleted.
I'm sure that I am not the only one holding out to see how these perform before making a decision.

^^^ Thats why I threw in the basicaly part, The kooks guys claimed they were made overseas becauses the bend radiaus are not quite as tight(wich should in reality flow better). That also is the reason they said its not 321 (because they dont use it overseas).
ALL BS WITH NO PROOF AT ALL!!!!! SLANDER. and false accusations from Kooks without proof. LOW BLOWS if you ask me.
They are 321 and made in Georgia according to the owner of LPP.
I highly highly doubt a small comp. like LPP would false advertise like that and possibly get sued over it. Not to mention the Kooks guys are threating LPP with law suites as well. So they have to be damn close.
I can say the D ports are much bigger than the ports in my LE2 heads, they start at 1 3/4 step to 1 7/8 all nice smooth bends then into a 3 inch collector with the merge spike. I would be willing to bet these flow within 2-3hp +/- compared to Kooks

I deleted my long reply, I will just leave it at this...
Its all good! I am just more concerned about the actual performance than the looks for my performance parts.
They do look nice. Good luck with the install and post up some sound clips when you are done!
Im more concerned about perfomance also. But the good looks dont hurt.
4sure Ill get up pics, vids and hopefully dyno numbers.
The only thing about the dyno numbers is, alot will be going on at the same time ie.. heads,RRs, cam, intake, tb, headers, injectors, ewp, etc. So it will be kinda hard to see what just the headers make.

I would go with the lpps any day. I dont care if they make a 5 hp difference from kooks. I go with whatever is cheaper. Thats why i have painted pacesetters on my car. I just want to go fast.

Ok, so pardon the stupidity,(and the thread jack!), but the lpp y pipe is an ory, right? Which would mean that when i put the headers and y pipe on, my cat would come off, right? And the y pipe would fit right onto my current cat back, right?

I kinda wish you hadn't!
The headers do look good, mine are not so pretty unfortunately. Even with 1 3/4" Pacesetters on my '95 I've been having issues with the stock steering!
Once that is out of the way though(ideas? PM plz!), going with a pair such as those or stepped is something I certainly wanna do.
