I have a 96 ss that's gonna be getting finished up and tuned in the next 2 -3 weeks just wanting to see what I should be looking to expect it to make. Its a 383 with srp pistons scat h beams eagle crank its gonna have a custom comp boost cam within the next 3 days the heads are pretty much stock (I know its killing the car but heads are expensive) 58 mm throttle body longtubes electric cutout and a small p600b on 7 or 8 psi through a 6speed. I'm not expecting it to make anything crazy just wanna realistic estimate thanks ...

I knew a couple of people who had your setup. If I were you I would get a smaller pulley and max that thing out. On a 383 your probably only going to about 10psi on a 12psi pulley. On a 355 with stock heads and blower cam my friend made 524 to the wheels with 12psi. I would upgrade the blower to an d1 or F1.

F1 is gonna require alot of clearancing...even some to the corner of the block.

Yea I was thinking about doing 8-10 pounds so 10 pounds may be what I shoot for. Id like to upgrade the blower but for now the smaller one will do its just a weekend driver to have fun with on the streets. My goal was 450 to the wheels and I said id be happy so if it makes that I'm fine with it.

My compression will be about a 10:1 like yours was. And yea I think I've seen the video of your old setup on you tube getting dynod. It said you snapped the crank what crank did you have?... that's what I'm worried aabout with mine the pistons and rods are forged and I think will be fine but I'm still running my cast eagle crank.

Ull have to see what others say... I know stock cranks are stronger than cast eagles... But idk how they are under boost.

Should be close to 500 if it'll make 8+ pounds. Cam specs?

7-8 PSI with stock heads? Depending on the cam, I'm going to say in the 450 RWHP range. That's not a lot of boost, and power is going to drop off quick on the stroker with the stock heads on it.

Still haven't got the custom cam made yet so haven't got the cam specs quite yet ( I decided to go ahead and get a forged crank to complete the forged bottom end so it postponed me ordering the cam) yea I know the stock heads are killing it they will be next on my list. 450 rwhp was my goal so if it makes that, that's fine for now although the more the better...
