Might end up with $400 95 Z28. Not sure what to make it into.

I showed my buddy this car for sale locally. It's a 95 Z28 with a 6speed. I wanted to buy it myself but I just dropped about a grand on Buick parts. So he only wants the car for the trans. I told him i could scrape up $400 for the car with no trans. He said cool. And here we are. Going to look at it tomorrow. It previously blew a headgasket and the guy got the heads rebuilt, so he says, but lost interest to put it back together. I have an extra 4l60e. So I figure if it all checks out I'll have another running fbody for $400. Just not sure what to do with it. My current one will be going 100% non street car next year, so I'm thinking maybe make this one a DD/local autox and actually keep it smog friendly so it's not $200+ every year to smog it.

I'll update with pics when we go look at it.

What is everyones opinions?

I suppose so. I'm pretty confident in the stock suspension going through the twisties. It surprised me how solid it felt on my white car. I want that car to go all out drag next year though and while I'll have my Lt1 Buick, I'll feel like I'm missing something not being able to drive an fbody to work here and there. Now I'm rambling. Just excited about it.

Would love to hear any other ideas.

I say make a nice DD out of it....

Or Keep ur white one DD...and make this a race car...

I do love my white car, and it has so much more into it to make it mine. But the "special" smogs are kind of annoying. I would keep the black car smog friendly and maybe some wheels. It already has a flowmaster :doh:so it will sound decent and a k&n intake. I think my mind is made. DD with a drop and wheels should do a black car well.
