This has been an ongoing problem over the years. Mainly with B-body owners. Me for one. I went through 3 pumps in 6 months. Had great support from Texas Speed but the worst from Racetronix. I even spoke with the owner at one time and he blatently said I didnt know what I was doing. Uhh OK!!! So It's my fault the shotty pump just shuts down and works when it wants to?? once in my driveway. Went back out to pull car in garage, no start. 2nd time across town at her work. had to trailer it home. 3rd time, 200 miles away at her cousins house. I had to go get her and trailer her home again. Finally installed an AC Delco pump and never had an issue afterwards.

But anyhoo, this thread says it all. No need to get into specifics, just read the responses from Racetronix.

Not sure who it is on there now, but when I was having my issues in 03/04 and posted it up on that site and on LS1tech, it was the owner that I was having it out with. He was the same way. So most likely it's actually him or his kin.

Wow can't believe a rep would make comments like that. I have a Racetronix pump and hotwire kit on my car, no problems. Install was easy and it came with instructions with color pics, I guess that's not the case with the B body kit. Unfortunate a company can't take care of their customers. If a customer has an issue you should try and help them no matter what your job title.

I'm sorry, but if you can't figure out how to install a fuel pump.........just saying. I'm NOT defending that rep at all because frankly, it's pretty damn easy to set up instructions for something. Going at it the way he did really puts a black mark on the Racetronix name.

Fastbird, It's a little tricky on the B-bodies and his instructions do suck. We have to add a new connector in the housing and almost everyone I know that did, including me, puts it on 180 out. Plus the repinning of it in the instructions was very vague as well. But the reply by Ed Wright on LS1 tech was the best yet.

I made over 530 NA with my old 383" at the tires through a 4400 RPM non-lock up converter, ran nines at over 135 MPH, and could still make it smoke black at the finish line if I wanted to with the factory fuel pump, lines & rails. Unless you have a lot more than that you are throwing your money away. Spend it on something that will actually make your car faster. I have an Aeromotive external pump now, but NHRA makes me run a fuel cell.
