Going back to Jon for my Turbo Header hot-part kit. Hopefully in about a month I'll have parts on hand to mock up on the stand, make sure everything is kosher, and FINALLY will be able to plunk the motor into the car.

So what's the over/under on me making 800 at the wheels when it's done?? :secret:

Sadly I've got a buddy trying to persuede me into going with a T6 flange and sliding up to a T88 or S90 to shoot for 1K at the wheels. Not going to happen, lose too much streetability with the A/C delete at a min.

Grr

F some a/c 1000 hp is much cooler than air conditioning...im only gonna be running a Alternator....no a/c and a madman manual rack

If I had the money for the rack right now I'd definitely ditch the p/s too.. but I won't so mine will just be a/c delete for the time being...

Fastbird's is gonna be much more of a monster than mine... I'm looking for a measly 600whp outa my budget forged 355...

as opposed to his XXXwhp ( ;) ) out of his badass 383...

For the guy that asked, I've got $14K tied up in the long block:

Short Block:
4.030 bore 93 LT1 Block
Lunati Sledgehammer Crankshaft
Lunati Pro-Billet 5.7" rods
Custom Diamond boost pistons
Diamond Pro-Select Rings
Manley/Clevite Bearings
Milodon Splayed 4 Bolt Main Caps
Melling HP Oil Pump
Milodon 7QT Pan

Top End:
Trick Flow Heads Ported by LE for the boost
Comp 921 springs
2.05/1.65 Ferrea Valves
Port Matched and worked LT4 Manifold by LE
BRE custom camshaft, not too big, not too small
Cloyes Double Roller Timing Set
BBK 58mm TB reworked by me

We o-ringed the block for the boost, copper head gaskets, and built everything with it meant to take whatever we could throw at it. Add in Jon's header hot-parts, a PT76GTS, and a custom built double pumper fuel system by me, and it should perform yet maintain creature comforts.

impressive! It should definitely be a reliable screamer! Cool to see someone doing another LT1 turbo that means business, yet is keeping the comforts. I wouldn't have one any other way!

jesus Man 14k thats insane. I picked up my built motor from a guy who said he'd rather have the space in his shop than worry about making money on the motor, he bailed his friend out of a tough finacial situation buy buying it off him cheap and was not looking to get rich of of it, hell he only had it on one low volume fbody site. Has extremely low miles on the bottom end and it just got refreshed with the SR F/I cam and low comp pistons when he switched from it being a nitrous motor to going boosted so its got all new bearings and fresh rings and pistons it im as happy as can be at this point with what i have in it

Why even have a car if it doesnt have A/C?

In the Midwest, its pretty much standard, and necessary. In Florida, sure it gets hot, but nothing compared to the humidity up here.

I think the Canooks on the site could ditch it though.

Neither of the cars I have owned have had working a/c, really doesnt matter to me.. it's as simple as rolling down the window

i have a SUV that has A/C if i really need it otherwise i think i can survive with the windows down....

That's going to be a stout motor!!!

When I say $14K, that is every nut and bolt that went into the motor. I had 9K in the bottom end along. The shop that I had the motor built at I would guarantee that 99.9% of the people on these forums never heard of as they primarily build Oldsmobile Marine Engines for big Cigar boats, and do auto stuff as a secondary thing. But they build these motors EXTREMELY well, though you pay for it with their labor rates and such. I'm a big fan of "You get what you pay for" in 90% of the cases. As soon as you start throwing big name cranks that are proven to withstand anything, billet rods, ect. into the mix the price goes up fast. I have reciepts for EVERY part in the motor build and was honestly SHOCKED when I did the tally.

That, and the $600 I paid for a no shit LT4 intake that was brand new put me over the top. :D

Got half the up pipe done. Should have the whole up pipe done by tomorrow night after work. I am waiting on 3" pipe and a new mockup swaybar... so progress will slow over the next week.

What's time??? I need some if anyone has some to lend me. Maybe I'll petition the gov't to move to a 27 or 30 hour day.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to post up pics and such. Trying to start a good (but slow progressing unfortunately) build thread.
