so im just doing little things to my car and one of the things i happened to notice is when i first start driving my car when i push the brakes and its coming to a stop it makes this rubbing sound, it almost sounds like metal on metal i pulled the wheel and the pads have plenty of life left, but i cant seem to locate the noise, i got in and cleaned everything out and it still does it. brake lines are new last year also.

You pull all four? Proper shims in place for the pads to keep them from rattling around?

Make that all 8 (pads).. Inside and out.

Be suprised how many people guage brake life by the outside pad only.

All 4 (wheels) lol. Like popo said, check all pads and make sure they are lubed well so they slide properly. Also, what pads are they? Some cheaper ones can tend to make more noise than others in my experience...

WOW... no laughing, I just did not know you could get drums on a Z28... or is your car a swap?

its not a z28 yet lmao your making me feel aweful lmao ive only been talking about it for ages lmao. here let me tell you the story all over again hahah. I had a 1993 z28 stock 64k miles and a beautiful maroon paintjob. it got hit in 2010 and I lost her. i was a bit younger then and my family felt bad and my uncle had this 95 and gave it to me so lol its my new project.
WOW... no laughing, I just did not know you could get drums on a Z28... or is your car a swap?
