Wiring up an electric cutout

I was wondering how you guys, wired up your electric cutouts? In front of my A4 shifter, I have my linelock switch(next to cig. lighter) and I was wondering if I could tap into the same wiring, for my cutout opener? Or would that be too much, on that wire. Then the switches could be next to each other. Anybody?

My switch is in the ashtray and I used the wire to the light that used to be in the armrest to power the switch.. seems to be fine. You could always tap off the wire to the lighter if you want a heavier wire.

That did cross my mind too. I just wasn't sure, if that would pop a fuse or not. I dont need to add problems , to the car lol.
