well 1st day for the formula that is...

I was trying to get off work a little early to beat the TNT crowd, went out to my car and all the sudden.... NO START..... WTF?

I cant hear the fuel pump so I check and find NO fuel pressure, After about 30 min of testing I comes down to the fuel pump relay someone just decided to stop working today... yay car was back running for free.... So I get the car out of the shop and leave work and head to the track.

I let the car cool down for about 30 min then make my first pass, great Rt and motor was pulling strong... BUUUUT..... Clutch was slipping all the was to the finish... smells lovely!! lol

So I get back to the pits and cut the car off and walk around... come back to go home since my clutch would in no way make it WOT down the track again and NO CRANK!!! WTF I guess the heat from the burnt ass clutch got the starter hot so I tried to beat on it but nothing, not even a click. I get a few guys to push start me so I thank them and head home......

Anyways Here are my times.

Rt .725 not to bad for first time on the track in about 7 years
60ft 2.377 Clutch was slipping not the tires!
1/8th 9.223
mph 80.93 ?? Seems like a 9.2 should be closer to the 75 mph range? maybe im thinking wrong

Sound just about right to me. Works out to a 14.4 at 100 1/4 mile.

Congrats on getting back on the track. I went on a 5 year hiatus and as soon as I turned the tires in the burnout box the bug bit again.

Throw a clutch in there and get back to the track!

I think back when mine was a bolt on stalled auto it trapped 82.x.

Yep I know What you mean! I wanted to make a few more passes so bad. I really think a 8.8 or 8.9 would be possible with a clutch that will hold.
I'd really like to throw a set of 4.56 gears in too and a 100 shot... But I'm sure I'd grenade the 10 bolt pretty quick

Yeah I wouldn't put a 4.56 in a ten bolt. The size of the pinion gear would make you laugh. Do they even make 4.56 for a baby 10 bolt? Congrats on being persistant and making to the track even with all the problems you ran into.

well I got my $50 clutch in from a member off here and WOW did it make a difference!!! I ran a 8.76 at 82mph with a 2.0 60ft!! I couldn't keep the 60ft in the 2.0's so that was my best time. A Drag radial would keep it much more consistent off the line20786
