So after doing some looking around thinking I wanted a CAI for my vette it seems its kinda on the fence of really not being worth it so I said screw it and called my guy at CPU and scheduled a dyno tune for this Saturday! He says he sees an average of 16-30whp pick up on the stock LS3 cars so we will see.
All the car has done to it now is a SLP exhaust, hell I haven't had a chance to check the air filter to see if the stock set up, but I'm reading just swapping to the stock C6 Z06 manifolds and X pipe will net me a decent gain and they can be had for cheap. So now it's between that or the "vette" taxed long tubes soon.

I think my LS2 car picked up like 10 or 13rwhp after a tune, I had headers, cold air and a Borla Cat Back on it already. Picked up right at 40rwhp or so with a 228R cam. The LS3 cars have a lot better heads and intakes then the LS2 cars do so you'll make what I did with bolts and a tune probably dead stock.

We will find out tomorrow at 12:30! I will doing a stock pull and then let him tune her so I can get a nice back to back and will be picking up a "stock" mod from my buddy and hope to have it installed soon and back on the dyno to see if the rumors are true. Either way if its not I'm only out $200 and some dyno time.
Neil350- what does your car make now with the cam?

Thanks, I've never had good dyno trips with my 94 so I'm hoping this one goes smoot.
1st trip- shop left the e brake on and over heated the car blowing a head gasket.
2nd trip- starter blew apart trying to start up after the first re-tune and that was if for the day

430?rwhp, still has the stock LS2 intake. If I mod it more it would be a blower kit or the sell the car mod for some thing else.

Ok so it's hasn't been dyno just street tuned? I'm trying to figure out if my car has the Z51 package or not. It has the drilled rotors but how else to tell without running the vin?

It's been on the dyno, I just don't recall the exact numbers it made. I'd check the glove box for the rpo codes, Z51 should be listed if it's optioned with it.

Oh ok, at 430 I bet it moves pretty good. Thinking about a custom cam, has to be emissions friendly.

So the car put down 381hp/354tq stock after some tunning it put down 387hp/362tq. Car picked up power and tq all the way across the board and feels much smoother all around. All in all I'm very happy with today and will making a change hopefully in the up coming week and back to the dyno.
This was done on a mustang dyno.

Purchased a brand new Z06 third brake light assembly for 50 cause it was a blem, it has light sanding marks that show through the paint lol. Either way I'm thinking about doing some black plasti-dip on it since the one on my car is black and kinda the same texture.
i know it's not a big mod but its sutle enough and probably only people that know the cars will know the difference.
