Past: 99 Trans Am, bone stock brand new car. Ran a 13.54@104 my first time EVER to a drag strip, after only driving a manual for a month since I purcased the car.

Other past LSx.........my vette. And I'm not gonna post any more pics of it. Texas-Speed forged LS3 shortblock, Patriot 317 ported heads, Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam, APS Twin Turbo. 761 RWHP 760 RWTQ with hardly any effort at 14 lbs boost. Current owner went to LG turbo's and some driveline upgrades, went 202 at the Texas Mile.

Current? None. Do want, preferably another C5.

Well its been awhile since I've been on here . Since I parted out my 93 I picked up a r6 till I found what I wanted then I saw her a 2000 ss with decent miles on it . 69 k and it had afr heads , ls6 intake , longtubes and true duels . Yep I went to the dark side . But I also through my nitrous set up in it and relocated my battery to the trunk .

But I still have a ton of ltx parts that I'm looking for a impala with a blown motor to pick up on the cheap in a year or so .

Off Topic: Did you ever pick a new set of wheels for the 3rd gen?

I had a set of 18 in wheels from Next Level Motoring, the XXR 526, in silver, but backed out. They did not have any in stock and it took forever, and I was not sure if they were going to come in a 5 lug or multi lug, which I really did not want. They are 5 lug, but 5x114, so I would have to do some work to get them to fit. I somewhat ended up with my bros 94 Impy SS 6 speed, he passed in Dec and I had an opportunity to buy it from the family, so kinda felt like it was the right thing to do.

So basically no not yet, but still looking.

Heres how my lq4 sits as of last night.
Head studs just came in yesterday and ls9 headgaskets should be here monday or tuesday. Then heads go back on and should be in the car in the next week or so

220K on the car. Still quiet as a mouse on start up (other than the typical AC pulley). Picked it up cheap cause of multiple little problems that overwhelmed the kid. Fixed 2 before I even left his driveway. Drove it 50 miles home without a hiccup. It does need a respray on the hood and a small dent fixed down behind the pass door but everything else will buff and shine nice. It's funny I bought it about 2 mins away from where I worked when I purchased my old LS Z28. Brought back a lot of memories coming home.

Wow, I never posted in this. You all probably know about my '04 GTO M6. '99 ported 853 heads, cam, Paceshitter long tubes, on 19s. Very proud to say that this has 145K miles on it, and is still kicking ass.

Can't wait to break this thing out again!

That'll move. We've got a local guy with a 70ish Camaro, similar motor and turbo setup (I think his is an S475) but his break in runs were LOW 11's @125. I think he's since gone deep 10's and is still tweaking. But man.......that's a big turbo, lol.

FRANK! Please tell me you took that POS balancer off your engine before it kills the bearings and valve train!

Anyway I broke down and had to say goodby to my wife's 383 LT4. In its place went a 450rwhp LQ4. I just got tired of fighting the parts problems half of which was caused by a POS Pro Products balancer. After we put the FluidDampr on it most problems were fixed but then could not get a decent A/C pump or water pump. I pulled it out and sold every single part off in one day and bought the LQ4. Forged 402 AFR headed 402 that is.

Not the best pic and we changed the CAI setup since but you get the idea.

Symptoms were things always coming loose on the engine, killing distributor gears, killing water pump splines, erratic timing issues and opti issues.

Changed balancer and it picked up 15hp and all other issues went away. The last two water pump failures were from bad pumps. One a tube to the radiator came out and the other the impeller fell off.

The engine also felt smoother and revved to 7k clean.

The guy who built the engine had talked me into it. When I started having problems i start searching and found out they are imported and do almost nothing for harmonics on any order

Very cool! Those Saab's are all the rage in the TBSS world. They have their quirks but make an awesome DD. Nice RX7, too!

Yeah, I got it to be my DD/tow vehicle. Having some trouble keeping it cool while towing my camper though, so it may not last long if I can't get that sorted out. :) I got the RX7 when I realized I had gone too far with the Camaro. haha Needed a fun street car.
