so this car couldn't be giving me more of a headache. I had it up onn the lift trying to figure out my oil leak witch is irrelevant but, I go to leave my buddies and I get out of the driveway and get on the gas and it has a lack of power and is making a weird ticking type noise it dosent really sound like a lifter but its all of the sudden I tried shutting the car of and restarting it and when u step on the pedal it does the same thing. I really cant sink a ton of money into this and might have to look at investing in a different Camaro if its going to keep up. its not a vacume line like before. it also idles with this rough ticking feel. any help wpuld be great. there are no ses lights at all. I was playing with the fuses but put them all back I do not think this would have anything to do with this. thanks

Spark plug wire arcing to ground possibly? Try starting it up at night and look under the hood for the lightning. Need to do this in total darkness if possible. Particularly check around the coil wire.

started it in the dark and don't seem to see anything sparking or anything I couldn't make much noise but it seemed to idle fine it was making a small noise but I think it starts up bad when its driven. note that there were no signs of anything previous to this evening I drove it today just fine

Get some good audio of it running.
Does it sound up high or down low?

low seems like it winds out before it shifts could be because its lacking power though if I put it to the floor it takes a few good seconds for the "go fast" gear to grab although it dosent accelerate like it normally does I can get audio of it tomorrow for you.

Is it possible that a plug wire could have been knocked loose while you were trying to track down your oil leak? I would re-seat the plug wires to ensure they all have a solid connection, and I would inspect the wires to ensure they didn't get too close to the exhaust and get torched.
As for the oil leak, did you check the rear gasket on the intake manifold? The LT1s are known to have leak issues in that area but it's easily corrected with a new gasket set and some RTV. When I had this issue the leak was from up high on the engine in the rear but it would run down the bell housing and drip from the inspection plate. It took me a while to track it down...then a search on the issue after the fact made it apparent that a lot of people have that issue.

fixed the first issue i made sure the plugs were not loose and it was good the next day. as for the oil leak im sure it is the back of a valve cover or intake gasket my buddy has one of those snake cameras to get a idea before we go in blind

I bought my '94 with a bad oil pan. . . Gaskets are a pain, but replacing the whole pan is even worse. Took me 3 days of slow work, including 2 cases of beer, lots of swearing, and I still can't find the 18mm wrench I threw after I smashed my knuckles trying to break the driver's side motor mount bolt loose. . .
Any chance you got that audio recorded for us yet? Would go a long way in helping us diagnose. . .
