first time at the track

Well tonight will be the first time my car will see the track since the rebuild. And will be almost a year since its been running. I put some M/T e.t. street wrinkle walls, and hoping the rearend stays together. The best I got out of the car, bone stock with a 6spd was 9.21. Ill update what happens tonight.

Best was an 8.74 with a 2.01 60ft. Spun a lot off the line, messed with air pressure and burnout length, didn't really make a difference.

Stock tune right now. I spun...........a lot. I'm not disappointed at all, just need some suspension work, weight reduction, and possibly better tires, they're worn out. Best 60 ft was 1.94. That's a big improvement over what it was doing! I did manage two .002 and one .001 lights!! The rest were .005 andup. Which was huge for me. Before they were .1xx and up!

Was it a stock cube/injector build?

100% stock rebuild with a larger than life cam(so some say)1.6, FLP headers and y pipe, aluminum elbow, turbo 400 and stock gears. Im going to put my 4.10s in this week. . I'm not sure of the stall because the car won't hold past 1800-2000 rpm, and it spun so bad I couldn't tell when it was flashing.

Yes sir! I knew it wasn't gonna be 100%, that's obvious. What did surprise me was the amount of wheel spin on bias ply tires. I'm gonna get the tune loaded in when your package gets to me. And then I will be playing with air pressure, burnout length. I probably won't go to the track next tuesday, I also need to replace the drivers side header gasket, it will not seal and I'm afraid of breaking a bolt or stripping the threads out.

Daniel, I built the motor myself, but the machine work was done by a retired machinist at his house. He does great work, all my clearances were spot on. Shackletts is high on his prices but he's good also.

Jc, Ill have to watch th e videos to see what you're talking bout. Ain't watched them yet.

I saw what you was talking about. Yea that guy pissed me off and I did let him know to give a little more room and time before coming over. The shut down is kind of short if you're running sub 6s but not that short that he had any reason to come over like that.

The pass against the red mustang was my cleanest pass of the night. He was a boosted 347, with hooking and fuel pressure issues.

My red light pass was a 008 red, andthe pass against the Subaru I spun like I was doin a burnout. Freaking ridiculously hard.

Will taking my sway bar off help the front react faster?
